Is the Noryang replacing anything or are the UNSC going to have 9 different capital ships?

I'm hoping 9, cause it'd be a shame to waste/replace any of the previous ships.

In my opinion it would be better if none of the ships would have been replaced and Covenant ships had more strengh, cuz alot of people like ships like Phoenix or Athens etc...

Yes, it will. But they've never tried to kill such famous ship as Phoenix-class.

It's like "Cutter, GTFO".

Real ships based in reality like Halo essentially is don't need to look pretty just need to be functional.

Halo ships are very far from reality, since they have extremely vulnerable bridges and no big enough reverse thrusters, manuverable thrusters, effective PDS for their sizes. Looks cool, but not logical. With their mass and main engines they won't stop, they won't aim the MAC.

They're box-like indeed, but not real. Did you see Star Citizen Bengal? Those at least tried to show us all thrusters! But Bengal is also too vulnerable.

Pathos is above realism, I know. That's why the Infinity rammed covenant cruiser with no fear for bridge crew.

Don't criticize them, they won't forgive you.

You are doing everything right, guys. Right, indeed.

She looks fantastic, I take it that the colony frigate will be staying as it is?

Since you've got a number of unbuildable ships (Mako, Athens, Themopylae and now the Phoenix), will there be an opportunity for players to capture an old shipyard to rebuild those warships?

And what's about Phoenix-*** class? You won't cut it out. You can't!

Literally one of the best ships in entire universe! You know, this is radicalism. There are plenty of things to work on, Sahara lasers, balance, hero ships, allegiance system...

And there is absolutely no confirmation that Phoenix was one and only modified vessel, just as no reason to claim that this is the main military support ship.

It can be additional capital support ship/carrier. There are many buffs to give them all, and make us have them all.

Does this mean the older model is being taken out permanently? :c That model was quite pretty in my opinion and it was in the comics too.

Nvm I thought this was the Athens my bad. I did notice the Athens is only in rebel fleet now though in game.

Going to ask, what will come of the Phoenix?
Will it be tossed to the innies or will it return as a Hero Ship?

Also don´t want to sound rude, but Instead of adding a new carrier based on the Atlas (Which in my opinion is just an Epoch Class with a few differences), why not just add the Orion Assault Carrier?; it´s image has just been released:

Description

Introducing the Noryang-class Carrier. In the next release of SotP she'll be your starting capital with similar stats to the previous Phoenix-class Assault ship. The Noryang is based on the updated look of the UNSC Atlas seen in The Fall of Reach Animated Series.
