A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series.
Infinity is slowly coming together when Annihilater102 has time to work on it! Pretty soon we'll be posting videos of her annihilating something in-game!
I WANT IT.
Also, 2015 makes us one year closer to war with the Covenant.
I can't wait to spawn my frigates and destroyers from this.
Unfortunately that's no longer part of the plan. It just didn't work out the way we hoped. Damn Sins with the damn hardcoding.
How about summoning them from the dark fleet?
They will be a late game frigate.
Can't you use the dark fleet ability like in STA3? You know just in case the Infinity needs backup...
Couldn't it be launched like fighter craft? Or was that lack luster?

Nice meme!

what... that sucks i really wanted that... Also are you guys working on this update?
holy. ****.
Amazing
On a side note it wouldn't be impossible for the ship to have a summoning ability like Dark Fleet to spawn its ships. Would it?
Instead of spawning ships you could have an active ability that acts as a Fleet Command and Control, in which gives it's fleet huge buffs like 10% range, accuracy, reduced cool down times. But if the Infinity get's destroyed it would incapacitate the fleet, force them to retreat, or -10% range etc.
You don't bring the Infinity along for what she'll do to your fleet. You bring her for what she'll do the enemy fleet.
Wasn't she supposed to be a fleet center/Support Titan?
Before Halo 3, it was a last resort type thing. It is disputed between being a second homeworldish type thing (most production facilities and HQs were moved out of the Sol system already) or a "we're gonna **** you up if you show up at Earth" ship. I'm not gonna bother finding out which but it was never in a support role. Post-war it was an "exploration" (read: blow up Covie remnants and find Halos which is a dangerous task as shown) ship. Infinity will be a titan in the literal sense.
Honestly, this mod is too fast paced for support ships anyways. A huge *** one wouldn't help. Infinity will be... well, whatever it becomes. Infinite.
The Infinity was designed to be humanities last bastion of hope incase Earth fell to the covenant. Thats the official designation of it from 343i.
I meant like a super large Valiant or Thermopylae.
This will all be sorted out in the actual testing and development of the Infinity. If you would like to suggest anything please post it on our forums in the appropriate section/thread.
i would remove the title branded on the side (though maybe leave the UNSC portion). some players are gonna name their titans something else, and probably don't want their title conflicting with whats written on it.
****. You're right. Thanks for pointing that out, Davey!
your welcome bosskraken
Who would rename it from infinity though? It is the infinity it looks fine lol
Well the AI can't rename it, and to my knowledge of a picking of a ship's name in Sins is that all ship names come out of a randomized jumble, kinda like a hat full of names. But I may be wrong and Titan's get their own nice hat to pick a name from.
"Humanity is no longer on the defence… we are the giants now"
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!
"To us and beyond" is the proper line ;-)
Oh my...
well.....2015 will be a great year....now that we have the UNSC INFINITY on our side.....keep up with the good work.....i think that the infinity shoud be a combat ship whit Shiva rockets .....prepared to rain hell on the Covenant
Perhaps a...shiva barrage???
It'd make sense, but do remember that the UNSC's Nuclear arsenal at the time was not unlimited, and by Infinity's time there were very few Nuclear weapons left. A barrage of 50, 60 Shiva's would be incredibly wasteful, especially since it only takes 3, 4 to take down any medium-tonnaged covenant ship, and say 6 to 8 to take down an assault carrier. A missile barrage of her higher up missiles she has, like the Howlers, would be much more accurate. The damage output could be 10 times higher than an autumn's missile barrage.
The Infinity is a late game ship which is supposed to represent humanity being somewhat on its feet. It will have a nice complement of abilities and defenses to go along with that.

Don't you mean Shiva Volley???? ;-P
It's beautiful.
Awesome work! Just noticed you said that you couldn't spawn frigates from the Infinity? Well just been funking around with different mods and some people have mentioned spawning them in by warping them into the system but on STA-CTA they have a few ships/stations that spawn holograms of ships that deal damage but are timed? maybe that would work? cheers!
Imagine, give the Halo Universe a 100 years or so and Naval Captains will say things like. "Oh man... I got assigned to an Infinity class, I wanted to be assigned to one of those nice new ships, not the ship they use as the bulk of the fleet."
SUPER DESTROYER: SOONâ„¢
will it be boasting the Onager mac cannon network as seen in halo 4?
For the moment it is the main battery (quad MACs), various missile launchers, and Helix guns. The damage output will compensate, I promise you.
As It stands, I Love this thing's look. My question is the technicals of what the ship will be capable of in-game. In-Universe the Missile-defense systems were split into three type, each more damaging than the last. Indeed the Infinity also had a series of Onager Mini Macs on the hull. The Shields the Infinity had were also powerful in their own right, capable of surviving after ramming a CCS-class without trouble. Are the Shields going to be better than most, if not all covenant ships? are the hull-points going to be more or equal to the Thermopalae Super-carriers? Will Infinity have Four-Five Main Mac-Cannons? How will the Onager's be implemented, if at all? In any sense, you did incredible on nailing down the Infinity look, but can you get down the in-universe overpoweredness of her? She's capable of taking down entire covenant fleets single-handedly.
An excellent question!
You'll just have to wait and find out ;) It will live of to the status of Titan. That's all im going to say.
We've had a placeholder asset in the dev build for quite some time now. We've got it covered.
Will the Infinity class have shields and energy projectors?
*Drools*
Specs the Infinity needs.
4 Mac Shots. average mac damage equal or better than the Thermopalae
Able to bombard planets. Obsurd damage output from bombing due to spartan teams on board, along with other equiptment
Mini-mac system onboard resembling that on the Phoenix assault ship, but with 4 times the strength
A missile barrage ability 3 times the strength of the Autumns. Autumn needs it's ability to be upgradeable to level three.
Energy Shielding Equal to or better than a fully upgraded Covenant Assault Carrier, and Hull points better than a fully Upgraded Thermopalae class. (With all the researchable buffs it's about (42250)
Fair Mobility
relatively faster fire for missile systems and Mini-Macs compared to other UNSC Vessels.
Uninfectable or takeable by Autumn-class Spartan Boarding Parties.
Base credit, titanium, and Hydrogen isotope Cost about 2.4-3.8 times higher than a Thermopalae-class, and a base cost of either 4-8 capital-ship points, or 75 fleet Supply or higher.
Somebody obviously hasn't shown up to a livestream...
