Is it possible for these to have a ability to ram enemy ships and destroy their self in the process?
What purpose would that serve against a covenant or forerunner warship? It would likely just bounce off the sheilds
No ships ram in SotP. They never will.
what about using a cradle like thing to protect a fleet of ships
No, it's very hard to replicate novel strategies with Sin's engine. You can park them in front of the fleet, but the Covies may not target it.
^ That is far more possible and has been considered.
