How does this compare with Supercruiser?
The supercruiser is more of a long range "sniper" ship, similar to the orion, with a little less emphasis on range and more emphasis on firepower. From what i can tell from the image, this ship seems to fit more of a battleship role, going in at close-medium range and engaging with heavy hitting weapons.

Apparently Canada misread the image and thought it was a battlecruiser, it's a battlecarrier folks, as it says on the image itself.
Ok, THATS why i was thinking this was a ship-to-ship vessel, i was reading the title of the picture, which read "battlecruiser" at the time. My bad.

I think it's too wide... Perhaps have the 'wings' point down 46%?
Very VERY Pretty, while it fits the style I feel like the lower right version works better. I might turn the spikes around. Where is it supposed to fire from? Does it broadside or shoot forwards, the design doesn't make it look like it has a preference.
Hm now I see the launch bay annotations after blowing the image larger, if you spread the main bay into two saddle with a central beam weapon or something... Still looks good though.
How in the....what do you use to make these? like a program on your PC or on an actual sheet of paper with a pencil
Dude Leviathan is excellent at what he does.
He probably starts with hand drawn sketches; once he knows whats he wants he moves on to a tablet based PC input with a program like photoshop. I can't do this type of thing but my brother is about this good and thats how he does it. Many of the paint programs like photoshop allow you to work in layers and become quite natural. He wouldn't even need to blur his drawings and would have a crisp image until the end where he applies the blur effect.
Both variants look fantastic, and I'd love to see them both make it in the mod but, the Main Launch bay looks too exposed to me. Perhaps rotate that section 90 degrees and mirror it on the other side, smoothing out the design accordingly?
That first drawing in the top left corner of the concept idea reminds me of one of my Vertey Consulate concept designs. =) But the overall concept looks AWESOME.

Maybe if the lauchbay was a spoiler and the secondaries were expanded....
Well it's supposed to be a carrier, but Levi said to mess with it however you like, so feel free to play with the design and we'll see what works best.
This is rather gorgeous.
I like the exposed main hangar, it makes the ship angelic and beautiful, which is what a Covenant ship is supposed to look like. Since they rely on shields, their ships are never structurally sound and are constructed just for looks as they are rather weak without shields.

I still don't understand why there won't be any space banshee's... they may seem retarded to you, but i think they're quite useful when massed. also, wasn't this meant to be as close to lore as possible?

Contrary to Golly's trolling, I think Space Banshees would make an excellent swarm fighter. Weak of course with no shields, but if they gang up on one or two Longswords, would be able to take them easily since Banshees are nimble and fast. Would be good for hangar defenses, but the Seraph obviously would be the fleet's mainstay fighter option.
I just don't see the point of them. This is a mod about major fleet engagements across a system, not small skirmishes in the orbit of a planet.
to be honest, i think space banshees are a bad idea simply because of performance issues. In order for a group of space banshees to do significant damage, you would probably need hundreds of them, and i know from experience that with that many strikecraft in one location, lag is sure to follow
That's not true. Your perception of them being underpowered is because you flew a highly advanced prototype fighter in Halo Reach that dominated because you had shields and they didn't. In all actuality, two or three of them would be more than capable of downing a Longsword if they were used as a strictly interceptor type role.
I like this all-around conceptually, but I'm always concerned about large strikecraft squadrons because of lag, as Defender said. Space banshees were portrayed as moving extremely fast, so there doesn't seem to be any reason they couldn't be realistically stationed in a hangar or inside of a carrier-type vessel. And as Zero has said before it would be a canon alternative to the Seraph, which the mod is saturated with right now in terms of strikecraft. It'd be good to mix it up. In my opinion, it's worth a shot to see if it lags too much.
Something to think of! The main hangar Bays might look even cooler under slung on the hull. Just one humble fans opinion.
I was thinking a ring similar to the one on the frigates from Reach along the central portion might look interesting. i don't particularly like the way the front is shaped. it seems awfully round and i think could use a more sangheili approach with the swoop on the underside,

I can't help but feel that the hangar should be on the Ventral surface of the ship, have the top be a smooth surface...
