Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
Like most R&D programs, there are several off-shoot projects that run parallel to the main project. The YSS-750 Rapier is a prototyped exo-atmospheric fighter/interceptor that is drone controlled rather than manned based on the YSS-1000 Sabre. Its armament includes one rotary 50mm cannon and three ASGM-10 missile tubes. Because of its compact size, five Rapiers can be fielded in the hangar space of two Longswords, making them an excellent late game swarm fighter.
Nice!
Ah, hooray, we finally have the missing puzzle in the UNSC fighter roster.
Mmmm... Looked at the three images - I don't like the design. Just doesn't seem like it fits for me.
What don't you like about it?
It just doesn't look UNSC to me. Can't explain it.

I mean I don't see where it's not UNSC. What defines UNSC design memes other than high angular surfaces and planes... which is what this is. Not to mention it's heavily based on canon material.
Has the same angles as the longsword and the blocky sections of larger ships to indicate it's non-atmospheric. Past the colour scheme not being solid grey i can't really see what's not UNSC about it.
Well the other colors (assuming you're talking about the orange and blue) are team/stripe coloring, which can be changed.
Personally... I'm not bothered about the colors. It's just the shape and design overall.
Perhaps it isn't... Flat or plane-like enough.
I agree it doesn't seem very UNCS-ish to me, it looks like it'd be a ship from mass effect rather than Halo to me.
I agree with you. this is not UNSC style...
it looks like... i donno. maybe GUNDAM?!
Looks pretty goddamn neat-o.
I was afraid it was not going to fit and that it just wouldn't work that it would not be too UNSCish and that it would fail miserably.
But it works and it works well it looks UNSCesque and it fits with everything done currently. I like it.
I'm gonna have to download it and play with it right now. (If I could)
