Actually, flames wouldn't last very long in space, they would burn using the escaping oxygen, then they would die. There can't be flames in a vacuum. Games rarely realize that.

i was just about to say something like that but then i saw your reply.. ^^ annyway. thank you for bringing some logic to this place. :3
and you are compleatly right about games not reslising it. take "EA" and its "Empire at War" RTS game. bad bad space battles.. -_-

This is just something I threw together last night because I was bored. Don't worry, it's not final and just a placeholder showing off. :P

for example there is only floors and i cant see the MAC which runs through the entire length (i think)and then there is the hanger which would be big enough to be seen on sides of the Halfed marathon as well as other things

I was wondering, will there only be one type of wreck per ship, or will there be several to choose from?
I doubt that a ship will always split down the middle from heavy damage, it could fracture into several pieces.
I would find it a nice touch for a later development stage.

Apparently HW2 doesn't have a way to have multiple wrecks, so there'll only be one.

The wrecks are spawned by salvage. They will always tumble and roll so they'll never look the way you left them, but the fragments will always be the same.

Description

Marathon teaser and the long awaited ship wrecks. Currently only for cruisers at the moment, but will also be implemented for frigates if there is no lag.
