These are the reskinned corvettes I just finished for release. Except for the Prowler, which was graciously donated by the Sins of the Prophet team. Model by A_lleras and texture by Keksz.
For release, all I have left to do is convert the rest of the icons (stations and weapons) to the holographic white scheme and then touch up on the Gantry and Scaffold structures. I would like to go ahead and re-textured the Orthrus and Hermes, but I think that would take too long. Longer than 5 days, anyways. Regardless, I hope everyone has fun on Halloween!

I have to mention that i called this a game and not a mod. I think you guys have reached a point where your professionalism has turned you from a mod group, to a functioning indie game (i mean all youre using is some stock content and the engine, same concept as games using Unreal Engine for their games. i mean youre using all original built ship models for cryin out loud!)

Oh, BTW, do you have any original maps that are about the size of the regular HW2 maps?
The maps in the mod will be a little bit bigger than the stock HW2 maps. It shouldn't be too bad since the ships move faster than vanilla.
Oh, as a side question, do you happen to have a working version of BSG Fleet commander? And if not, where can I get one?
That mod is long dead. Though doing a quick Google search might help.
The Sourceforge page is still up, and it updated close to a year ago.
I can download 66.1, but a pretty major problem prevents me from playing.
The BSG mod team put in a piece of code that prevents the mod from being played past a certain date. I can't code, so I don't know where that piece of code is...
They got a cease and desist order, so they had to make it unplayable.
Well, from what people tell me, there is a small piece of code in the big file that corresponds to the date.
I can't code, so I don't know how to fix it. Someone with actual programming knowledge would have to do it.
If you extract it with a .big file-reading program(not gonna name names, they're easy to find), that should eliminate the issue. You then load the loose data files instead of the .big file.

The thing i always wondered about escape pods was what could they do apart from placing 72 hours further it's passengers death?
I mean, in space it's not really easy to find escape pods so passengers probably die of starving or flashed by covenant point defense turretts, because i doubt escape pods have Shaw-Fujikawa engine technology to use the slipspace and return to an allied planet...
I agree with FEDE, I mean all they are, are smaller death traps that launch from a bigger death trap so that the passengers can die some other way besides dying onboard the ship and making a mess.

Hope of survival. The Pillar of Autumn jettisoned Linda, and the Chief still found her. Just because they can't get very far, doesn't mean they don't emit a distress beacon, and ONI Prowlers are always watching the battles from the shadows. I'm sure they would go and pick up survivors.
Also, the UNSC have only been fighting the Covenant for about 30 years. I'm sure even the Insurrectionists wouldn't destroy escape pods. Maybe capture them, but not destroy.
Another relevant fact is that most space battles are fought over space stations or planetary assets. Rarely does combat take place in deep space, light years from any heavenly body.
Escape pods are designed to be able to maneuver into a planet's atmosphere, and give its passengers the best chance of survival.
Or they could crash into the hangar bay of a friendly ship.
You still have to win the battle though, because if not, crewman will be killed or captured.
Like I said, best hope for survival. :P
Hay what types of battleships will the UNSC have because I have a perty good design. Look at my account's homepage and look at the image named
"Halo Ships", it has the normal ships of course but I added my own ship designs in the exact scale refrence to the other ships. The Belfield Class is the battleship class I had in mind, tell me what you think of it, I will understand if you don't like the design, but just send me a message.
I was thinking the Belfield class could be the UNSC's more powerful equivalent to the assult-carrier. Tell me what you think.
We're not too keen on using fanon ships. What we come up with is what we're using currently (with the exception of the prowler). We also don't have any plans to include super large ships other than the assault carrier.
The only design i think come closer to canon is the UNSC Battlecruiser, basically a stretched Marathon.
I understand. It would be kind of over powering. What with all those MACs, ASGs, Archers, and PDGs going off, but thanks for responding.

i know halo 4 was released ago and you people are updating your ships alot the more cannon information is released but i for one would like this game more if you don't change the frigates over to the new one or just make it a new class but keep the other one. just saying but i will play this mod eathir way
P.S. also i remember a whial back that you guys wear unhappy about the way you had to implement the building of ships and how they just pop out of thin air. i have found another homeworld 2 mod that has done something interesting to combat that if you want to check it out
