The new Covenant Light Cruiser, concepted from a brief description in the book Halo: First Strike.
Armed with 6 Plasma Cannons and 2 Light Plasma Torpedo Launchers, the Covenant Light Cruiser is best used as an Anti-Fighter/Anti-Frigate ship.
Looks like a giant covenant long sword, except the wings have square plates....guess I will have to wait for the updates to find out more about it.

Hey, I am currently reading the Halo series. I've read: Reach, the Flood, First Strike, Ghost's of Onyx, and I'm almost done with Contact Harvest. Cudos to Eric Nylund for his skill in writing.
yeah Eric Nylund was my favorite writer of any of the novels, i didnt enjoy the flood or contact harvest as much
of course, he wasn't the author of those two. The author of the flood made the master chief too much like a normal soldier, not so much the super soldier he was

The only book out of the series I didn't like was "The Flood", and that was written by a different author than the rest...
I've read all of them exept Contact harvest.

I'm not sure if I like it. It doesn't really have a Covenant feel to it in my mind.
Its extremely Covenant, organic and flowing gracefulness compressed into a nice package of death.

I'm not really sure. I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps it just looks too much like a smooth Longsword. I just don't like it I suppose.
I agree that it doesn't look right. It looks too much like a smaller craft. Like some sort of fighter. Heck, maybe you could just resize it make it some sort of advanced fighter like the Tie Advanced to the Tie fighter.
Just suggestions.
Maybe with the right texture it will look better, but I agree it looks like it belongs on a smaller fighter like scale.

uuuummm i dont wanna burst ur bubble but the light cruiser looks like a normal ccs covenant cruiser but smaller and more purple. i saw it in the halo encyclopedia. it had a picture

Well if you look at the stingray like craft, it isn't perfectly smooth like Covy ships are, it has small block like protrusions of the wings. Who knows what in God's name it is.
those small protrusion on the wings might be where the stasis canons are hidden...if the covies use stasis canons in space combat
