Upgradeable ship system
Upgrading my ships specializing it's weapons or what? no matter where that is going i cannot wait to get some upgrades :)
Just weapons and shields at the moment (hence W1 and S1), but eventually we'll be adding more unique pathways that customize abilities and whatnot.
thats a cool idea that i have never seen before
This is skirmish only right? If/When you add GC, will customizations carry over?
It is indeed skirmish only, unfortunately, because this relies on a few mechanics that only work in skirmish it won't function in GC at all, we'll have to come up with another way for you to customize your fleet.
Is it possible to create sub-menus in GC? If so, each unit could have its own menu for building variations of the base unit.
That's pretty much what I'm thinking at the moment, haven't had a chance to try it out yet though.
Not to mention that our current plans for GC are quite different than our skirmish plans in terms of general upgrades.
I read in an earlier post that you guys wouldn't be adding the Infinity, but perhaps you could add it in GC and only one could be constructed at a time, similar to the death star or super star destroyer in the vanilla game. Maybe you could balance it out by giving the covenant the ability to construct a Super assault carrier (like the one in halo reach that was destroyed by the improvised slipspace bomb), which is nearly twice as large as the Infinity. I'd be kind of disappointed if the Infinity didn't make it in but either way this is a great mod.
the reason they will not add the infinity is because it was made after the war
Actually it was nearly completed (for emergency purposes) by the end of the war but they decided to keep it a secret so that they could upgrade it with all the new technology they were gathering i.e. Covenant and Forerunner tech.
are there ground battles if so this is the halo wars game ive always wanted :)
None so far. Halo Campaign Commander has that function.
Though it is possible to combine the 2...
