the death clone model needs a nicer looking texture, but it looks amazing aside the textures, the covie ship looks amazing though.

I'd like to clarify that the Covenant didn't just obliterate the UNSC on reach. They actually lost a substantial amount out ships due to the Super MAC guns until their power source was destroyed at the surface.

That might change with Halo Reach, seeing as the books state that there were no S3s on reach but in the game you are playing as one.

technically no, the books said all available forces were being deployed, which could in fact include spartan III's. I hope they kind-of go like fall of reach, it was a really nice and well written book and the actual fall of reach was very well done.

Yeah... they just talked about only the Spartan 2s in it... had they held on the ground it likely would have been a human victory... only thing I dont get is how earth had 150 times more Super MACs and didn't hold as well... maybe the Supercarrier had something to do with that.

Earth Defense Fleet had 48 Ships
Epsilon Eridani Defense Fleet had 100-150 Ships including Supercarrier Trafalgar
20 Super MACs built as early as 2527
With the covenant they could pinpoint slipspace jumps right under the defense grid of MAC guns.
Under ONI section 3 Ackerson kept S-III program to only his loop of people.

ah... I thought Earth had more than 48 ships though... you sure that wasnt just on division of the fleet?

In my mind, I pictured Reach with more ships but less MAC guns and vice versa for Earth. But in Halo: Reach, Reach had very few ships and absolutely no Super Mac guns. "Orbital defenses", yes, but no Big Sticks.
I'm disappointed with Reach because everyone would want to see over 500 ships duke it out.

Actually, the Covenant corvette in the Reach mission ONI:Sword Base IS taken out by an SMAC, and if you look out the window on Cairo Station in Halo 2, hundreds of frigates and Marathons keep passing by, not to mention the battlegroup on display at the beginning of the level.
