You are Flynn Weißhaupt, a computer engineer of Black Mesa who worked on the Gibson, a powerful supercomputer. Now with the Resonance Cascade, it is your mission to retrieve the data of the Gibson and destroy it. Because The Gibson is too powerful to fall into the hands of alien forces or the military.
This is the release version of the Half-Life mod The World Machine
Grandiose!
Let's see how it is.
Damn this really good! Love the Alien and 2001 references as well. A few times I actually forgot this was supposed to be in Black Mesa and kept expecting a Xenomorph to pop up outta nowhere. Solid mod.
Phenomenal as expected.
oh, where IS that second power cell....
where ?
Yesterday passed, a great mod. However, the final video crashes with the error SV_Start_sound: volume = 2550.
If you mean the final cutscene of the tram, then you're not missing out on anything - the tram leaves, fade to black, end credits.
No idea why you've got the error message - are you using the Steam version of Half-Life?
Yes, i mean that. Tried both in the WON version and in the steam version. Somehow I'll try to figure out what the reason is, change the volume or something like that.
Can happen if your volume is set to max, as far as I remember.
I updated the files, I hope the end cutscene bug (sv_startsound) is fixed now.
I checked with the help of cheat codes - the bug disappeared. Thank you very much)
Any idea why this mod crashes when i load the first map? fatal error, SZ_Getspace: Tried to write an unitialized sizebuf_t:???. I installed it in steam hl folder, opened in steam and i start it from 'Play Decay' in the menu, select the first map and it freezes, i get the fatal error in the background. Any idea for a fix? ty
Play Decay, dude, really?
I am suprised by the polish on this short mod, it is amazing.
I only had a few issues with it though, at some parts it is not signaled very well where you should be going, or what is your current task at hand, I spent a few mins until figuring there is a hidden vent in a corner, or I needed a guard to open a door, it was confusing at points.
but everything else was amazing.
I'm playing this next, looks really cool
some changes again:
twm_3 - eradicated a visible nulled texture
twm_8 – removed a dead npc which appeared out of nowhere while levelchange
twm_12 – added a sign at the elevator that leads to the core level
