Half life: swern is about taking the original games maps and reordering everything, from the layout to weapon placement. Everything in the game will be changed to no longer be the same as the vanilla version. This mod will also contain custom animations for the weapons and different npc animation cycles.
So yeah, i completely disappeared from this project entirely, but it wasn't because i was disinterested in making it. Long story short, it's difficult to de-compile maps and I'll just leave it at that.
Another reason for me nearly forgetting about this project is, well, other projects. I'm, as of currently, really far along with Jalaso Doom's development that i got a little caught up in finishing it that i kinda forgot about everything else. In the mean time while I'm a bit burnt out on doom's annoying ass level editor, i thought I'd make up that useful time in developing swern since I'm not doing anything else interesting anyway.
De-compiling maps? I thought you were just making a randomizer?
Yea, if you thought that and are a fan of randomizer's in general, then this mod isn't for you. I figured i was being a bit vague on what i was saying about this mod, I'm not making a randomizer, I'm redoing the entire campaign from scratch with new level design (obviously referencing a lot of the original half life level design so its not completely foreign), with added animations n shit ect ect.
