This mod uses the source 2013 base to fix many of the issues present within the base game. This mod does not currently have a Linux version, but include with this mod is linuxhowto.txt which details a method which you can use to play this mod on Linux using Steam. Also include are text files detailing what files have been modified from the base game and why, and the issues that I have found and are still present in the mod.
v2.0 improves many of the issues present in v1.0 In order to revert to the original chrome shaders or shiny textures, you can open up the mods gameinfo.txt and comment out the indicated lines.

First!
oh come on i was about to post a comment. well, whatever.
Thanx for your hard work with this. I have HL source 2003 beta version original models etc.. A stand alone, too. I've never had any issues with that, I've added remasters and HLSfixes to the steam version works ok. Look forward to going through this again.
I can send you HLS 2003 if you want to check it. thanks again.
Yes, please.
Been waiting for this for a while.
Thanks a million, man.
-EDIT-
It doesn't seem to support the features of the recent update.
Namely, the FOV slider and HUD settings.
Did you just not notice the update?
Man, I have to say thanks again. Especially the bigger size maps, I've played them on Garry's mod a lot. Brilliant. Works A treat. I'm not worried about HUD updates etc.. As long as it works, and it does.
It's back!!!
Is there any reason why the top of Barney's helmet is missing? Also, missing titles. Example: #hls_fix_hls_title, and #hls_fix_run_title. #hls_fix_sub_hls, and #hls_fix_sub_crowbar
I think there may be some conflicts between this
and the recent update pushed through Steam.
But I'm just speculating.
There are alot of errors in the console.
Material models/barney/barney_chrome does not support vertex format used by the mesh (maybe missing fields or mismatched vertex compression?), mesh will not be rendered. Grab a programmer!
Attempted to create unknown entity type trigger_camera!
Can't init trigger_camera
Error: Material "models/agrunt/chrome2" uses unknown shader "editor_shader"
Various other errors
How did you set up the mod, is it in it's own directory, or did you place the files into the original half life source directory?
Will you update this to work with the recent Steam-pushed update?
I placed the files into the original directory
"In order to revert to the original chrome shaders or shiny textures, you can open up the mods gameinfo.txt and comment out the indicated lines"
what lines?, am i missing something?
Maybe merge HL: Source fixed with this at a later date: Moddb.com
this runs as sourcemod?
At the beginning of the chapter "Gonarch's Lair", Gonarch lacks the texture of white spit (pink textures). What to do? I tried to lower mat_dxlevel to 80 - it didn't help.
In the new options menu I added, there is an option to switch between the original HL spit texture, or the HLS spit texture. You could try seeing if the switching to use the other texture works.
Is there a way to make this work with the recent Steam-pushed update?
Namely the new FOV options?
In the apprehension resized map the water isnt realistic and in the normals hl:s maps it is realistic, and the barrels on the puzzle to lift the bridge are the normal brown barrels from hl1 instead of those blue barrels on the original hl:s map
Hahahaha! Nice fixes, Bloody Muffin!
The top of Barney's helmet is glitched for me and if you put all the settings to max the game crashes a lot
Is there is any way to launch the mod without using steam?
You can place the hls_fix/ directory straight into the Half-Life 2/ directory, then create a shortcut to hl2.exe and add the launch parameters "-game hls_fix". Then you simply run the executable outside of steam and it should work.
Can you merge this with ai upscaled textures?
ty for pro mod!!
