You've made great work! I like it. But your geometry really needs 'func_wall's to fix multishadowed polygons on surfaces. Turn pipes, barrels and other non-square objects to func_walls (with ZHLT 'opaque' flag if needed). And your compiler will say 'thank you'

Too many dark areas, but overall it's a decent mod filled with puzzles and intense combat.

this mod does have quite an improvement from operation rosenberg, but there are still some flaws that i would like to point out.

first, there aren't enough scripted sequences throughout the mod, things such as barneys and scientists fighting aliens/marines, or marines fighting aliens. there's also a lack of dead bodies. all this destroys the atmosphere, and makes area 99 look more like an abandoned facility instead of one that was infested with marines and aliens.
secondly, i've noticed that most of the bumpy terrain was made using the carve tool, which is a huge NO. it's extremely buggy and creates leaks in maps very easily, not to mention that the map takes ages to compile because of it. instead, you'll have to use the vertex tool for every bumpy terrain you want to make, but the same applies to everything else really. whatever you do, DON'T ever ever ever use the carve tool! there's a very handy tutorial that shows how to make mountains/hills in your map using only the vertex tool, which can be found here: Youtube.com

something else i've noticed is that you took some sounds from Half-Life 2 by recording the game itself, which is not a good idea. there's actually a program called GCFscape, which let's you open the .vpk files inside the hl2 folder and you can get the sound files that way (as well as textures, scripts, and models). i'm surprised you've never heard of this program before, it's very handy.

and finally, i have to say that the ending happened too abruptly and i didn't expect it to end there. also, you placed too many enemies before that, which didn't leave a good ending impression if you know what i mean.

all in all, it is better than operation rosenberg but not in every way. i give it a 7/10. i hope your next mod will be an 8 or 9!
