Good luck with that, if they put in the Covenant glassing ability then they need to put in the Imperial Base Delta Zero ability, which is faster, more thorough and only requires one ship.
To be fair, the concept of a Base Delta Zero is almost identical to a glassing. You can glass with one ship, and base delta zero with one ship, but it would take a long time (especially with canon examples of slow SDs)
But Glassing a Death Star would require close proximity, and they'd have to deal with the turbolasers. The Covenant could do it, but they'd take heavy casualties.
Covenant Ship crew officer: What, is that?!?
Covenant Shipmaster: I think it's a space battlestation bigger than our holy High Charity!!
Covenant ship crew officer: Well, what do we do?!?
Covenant Shipmaster: Just glass it from above it's cannon.
Covenant ship crew officer: What about those other ships?
Covenant Shipmaster: Blow them to hell with all available cannons and Seraph's
lol
If High Chrity was involved in this it would be all over. first High Charity comes with over 5 hundred ships to guard it and secong it's way bigger than the Death Star.
You don't even need a fleet. Have a Covenant starship do a precision slipspace jump into the Hypermatter core, blowing the entire Death Star into oblivion.
If you ever read any of the halo books the Covenant had a ship or staging station area bigger then the death star that did not have one stupid little flaw that could blow up the hole station.
... Do some research before posting petty comments like those.
The Unyelding Hierophant was destroyed by SPARTANs. It had more than 400 ships, I guess.
The High Charity, the mobile super-station with a Forerunner Dreadnought generating its energy, has a huge ship escort, but can the High Charity even come close to a Death Star II and survive a direct hit? No, because the DSII fires more rapidly than the DSI, and is larger and more heavily armored. Plus, the Death Star I had thousands of turbolaser batteries. Dozens in just a trench, beat that with your puny Covie fleet.
Why would the Covenant use their capital in an offensive action in the place? Even if they did, they could Slipspace behind the main gun, and pound at a single spot until they carved into the Hypermatter core. Energy Projectors are a bitch, and High Charity packs them in the double digits.
Not the mention the Forerunner Dreadnought in the center. Even if the Death Star managed to blast away High Charity, the Dreadnought remains, with its nigh-impenatrable shield. It could ram the Hypermatter core, or just Slipspace into it.
Actually, slipspace is the death knell for Imperial forces in space combat. Hyperdrives hate micro-jumps, and it requires a line of sight. Slipspace? Neh, not so much.
The covenant is shocked to realise that's no moon
It's a trap.
its a space station.
It's a battlestation!
It's a giant, floating eye-ball!
its a giant, floating potato
LOL
nice one David1822
Thats no moon... Thats a Space station.
'So? Just glass it'

depends if u watch the last star wars movie u they fired the death star reaptly so u might to think twice using large ships and not fighters

Screw Shooting, the Covenant ship is ramming the Star Destroyer if you look.
Well, they certainly have the mass advantage.
empire is dooomed.. shields gone plasma projector will cut them in half
again the death star can be fired reaptly that carrier is screwed u will need large squadrons of fighters to go and hit the main reactor
ummmmmm, is that the death star I? it can'y fire on ships

acctualy star wars weapons have massive amounts of energy output halo doesent have half that sw would win
Don't count the lore, its highly exxegaretad, and as such pretty irrelevant. If because of nothing else then game ballance.
Star Wars EU is actually considered non-canon.
Agreed.Plasma based weapon's are useless against particle based weapon's.
Energy projectors are particle based and turbolasers are gas based particle weapons.
first of all people its a "Cleansing Beam" pay attention to halo wars
Long live the empire!
ACTIVE THE HALO ARRAY!!! Oh yea forerunner wins everytime!
