An anti-destroyer annex anti-strikecraft cruiser, the Vaygr Defense Cruiser is a post-Makaan design based on the Vaygr Battlecruiser. It is shorter in length so that it could be manufactured inside a flagship. The smaller trinity cannon is a direct adaptation from the battlecruiser hull, albeit at a lower power output, and its inherent 3x6 multi-role VLS missile arrays deal with any smaller targets that venture close. It is also equipped with the iconic anti-air CIWS laser batteries mounted on the sides, punishing any overconfident Bomber pilots who consider the Defense Cruiser to be a regular easy target.
The Vaygr are no longer invading, or chasing one man's dream turned obsession. With most of their mighty Battlecruisers destroyed during the Hiigaran War, the answer to a more versatile, defensive-oriented unit was found in the new "Tyrant" Defense Cruiser.

Cant wait to try this cruiser in the upcoming update.
Not gonna lie it looks and feels a lot like a smaller Taiidan battleship. [in universe] is it some kind of convergent evolution of designs? Since in the story of HWII it was mentioned offhand that Makaan did gobble up some Taiidan remnants so I can see some cross pollination of R&D between the two even if their current relations with each other aren't that hot.
