FUEL: REFUELED is an enhancement modification for the game FUEL, which brings multiple bug-fixes, improvements and the addition of various new content.
This is a working concept of a UI theme I plan to include with Patch #4 and FUEL: REFUELED LITE R2.
The significant part of this is the text at the bottom of the screen which show's the vehicles Class, Dicipline and Peformance Rating. To create this took some thinking because it's not possible to make new dynamic entries, thus I had to work with what was available at stock; 6 dynamic entries which referenced a yellow bar to indicate a value between 1 and 6.
So how I achieved this was by firstly merging the Asphalt and Offroad stats into a single entry, and with some graphics placement alterations this is not actually noticably visually at all. Secondly I went about increasing the values away from 6 so that there was enough space to reference an entry for each vehicle. The description text is only dynamic up to the point of referencing a pre-stored text string for each vehicle. What this means is that infomation can be referenced from the theme and now allows many options on design. For instance if I wanted to add a text box next to the speed bar that also listed a numeral between 1 and 6 or even the speed in e.g. km/h then it would be possible with these changes.
One final note: this is just one of the optional themes provided, you can use others included or even the stock UI as the mod is modular. It is picked via the included mod manager.
It's a shame Codemasters don't really believe in modding and mod support.
