This mod was also known as Nova Upgrade. During further development most of the Tasks of Nova Upgrade were integrated into NTP, which is however mostly a translation project that translates Freespace campaigns into several languages. Right now, NTP gives translations for FreeSpace 2 from English into French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, and Spanish. The old Nova Upgrade releases can also still be found here which are bugfixes, so that the campaign can be played through with then-current builds and mediavps.

Description

This screenshot is a command briefing with the polish translation active.

But i would like to draw your attention to the beginning of the text.
The beginning is yellow instead of Green from the GTVA one, because vasudan ships are more colored after the sand of Vasuda Prime.
Because of Emperor Khonsu II who identify his race more with Ancient Egypt they use an own calender system.

After i found a small calender converter in the web, i decided that it could be a very nice touch that Vasudans use the Coptian Calender. This is a calender that was actually in use in Ancient Egypt as well.
The choice was even easier to make, as the anni mundi year from the Coptic calendar, the year where the Earth was supposedly created, is quite accurate with the approximate time frame where the Ancients were destroyed by the Shivans. In addition, the community is fairly unanimous that the Vasudans did encounter the Ancients race.

Another nice touch in my opinion that Vasudans should call themselves first as a race like terrans do. So therefore GVTA is used.

There was (is?) even the idea that Vasudans should call the systems differently to Terrans. For better understanding they would simple use the name of another star catalogue. For example Alpha Aurigae instead of Capella.
However, I did not implement this, because in the canon the Vasudans use the same star designations, while in time at least differences are implied.
