A Civil War mod that aims to portray the American Civil War with accurate maps, weapons, tactics. We try to bring realism into the game wherever it doesn't effect game-play, and are working on creating a complicated and unique hand to hand combat system, and unique cannon loading system(<---for more info see forums). We need help, and lots of it. We accept new people, and would really appreciate some people who are more familiar with hl2 modding. It is our first mod project, and any and all help with modding will be greatly accepted. If you wish to donate a model or skin or map, but not feel the obligation or pressure of being on the mod team, feel free to contact us and drop it off for us. We currently need: Coder Modeler Texture Artist Animator Mapper Sorry for no screens, I just wanted to get this up and ready. Updates will come often. I know what its like to wait for a mod and not get any screens. If there is something to show we will show it. Forums are WIP. Please hold.

Hello furman, its hogan - ex-saw. Odd move on your part here, but goodluck anywhoo.
The SaW forums haven't had a post in ages, it looks fairly dead. We aren't going anywhere soon either unless we get some recruits though. Also, I don't really work for them considering that they haven't really accepted my application.
yeah, you didnt seem that able though? You said you can map and that it was easy - and you made some sounds. Can you make a mod on your own?
Or are you depending on getting members?
oh and in saw's defence, they have made major steps recently - the forum was hardly used anyway. Its not dead!
quite a strange move indeed.. we are far from dead, we just don't use our forums that much. :)
Of course you can do what you want, but it seems really strange to leave a not-dead dev. team of an american civil war mod to start your own mod.. with a similar setting/system.

Maybe if you guys gave me dev team status I would have known better and not made this move. I mean, I understand if you don't want to make me a dev. I'm a noob, and no pro for sure. I'm just saything that everything looked really dead from my point of view. I was prompted to start this by my friend who is the main leader of the team. I was just the one charged with making the page.
