For Rome is the roman mod for mount and blade warband, featuring roman tactics and discipline like an testudo formation. Its siege have been changed: fight all over the city and use ballistas and battering rams, there will be a big political system with treason and quests, to reach the ultimate goal: become the emperor of rome. So the only question you need to ask yourself is how far will you go for Rome?

you become a tribune by playing it well claudius will make you a legatus (one legion) 200 troops (which is every lord) then with helping nero become emperor you can go for the governing of africa or egypt and moenia giving you both 3 legions (600) and then when nero becomes cruel the one with the biggest army will be emperor.....

yes we remove the start war while you are nothing option
you just begin as a tribune and follow the cursus honorum till there will be a moment that rome is done with nero (after player joining kill claudius plot/quest) at that moment their will be a civil war biggest army wins (so you need to get friends etc to make it ready)
