Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.

got finally something work in cryengine1.4 which i thought its only real usable in cryengine3 and above. terrain displacment mapping with normal morph targets. its unbelievible hard to get this -.-

How did you achieve this? Did you write a shader(s) or did you bake the displacement into the mesh

basically i replaced the standart terrain shader and used then the level material editor for terrain material.
in that i inserted then instead of a bump and a normal map a displacement map, which have to be special handdrawn, which was very very timeconsuming (endless hours and days of try and error).
all in all i needed, hmmm, ~2 years to elaborate it and find a way to get it work.

That ground remembered me a stalker by a bit. Especially because Im using shaders max which make some things more detailed.

yes i agree, they have the same techniq and shader for terrain. i'm not sure if its also in standart stalker, but i have seen stalker videos (probably with mods) which have the same effect.

If I remmber right it is even in normal stalker but with shaders max its much better.
