Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.

first i doesnt like to release that shot, but its so silence here...
what you can see: i've "opened" the city a little bit, that means i removed the old, big and blocky skyscraper models and inserted parks and stuff.
i also looked carefully in gta4 why the streets looks so organic: one point is the walkway textures are very detailed and very often different. so i started to complete change all walkway textures and get a better "organic" / not so boring look.
i also have fixed much bugs and added new stuff to the city for nice new minigames XD
will show that in the upcomming trailer :)

yeah, i've problems with the light color on midday on the walkway textures :( i dont know what the failure is, maybe the missing alpha channel ?
same with the white glowing skyscraper in the back.
beta: i'm currently overhelmed with work&reallife stuff, so i doesnt have much time currently :(
Maybe disabling diffuse light or something like that on the material? Or maybe it's a different shader?
Nice screenshot, though. What are you planning to do with shadows? Because the pillars in front of the screenshots don't seem to have any shadows, it would also be awesome if big skyscrapers could have large shadows which covers the city partly. :D
i noticed that the missing shadow from pillar also first time on that screenshot, i'll look into that.
regarding big shadows from skyscrapers: i started to experiment with new shadow variants, but its all a little bit uncomfortable.
real dynamic shadow of such big objects seems impossible :(
regarding light / diffuse: there is a specularity channel, and i think i have to insert a spec alpha channel and have to color that simply dark, the same like my old glowing arms, i think (look old screenshots and new ones: the old arms from hero are glowing on day).

complete traffic is missing, i've first to figure out some things. i dont wanna put static vehicles on street and call that traffic. goal is a real self driving and dynamic traffic. for that i have to code a little bit more which is currently a little bit over my knowledge, i'm also currently short on time :(
