actual the plan is, that you have to get into that buildig to find a key so you can unlock a fence door behind the building.
"unfortunately" you can currently simply do some parcour over the roofes and enter the second floor from the building, walk around and jump over the fence :D
but thats to easy, even if i'm always a fan for offering always more possible ways to solve a puzzle.
i have currently no idea how to preven the player from doing some hillarious jumps over the roofs :D hmm, maybe if some sentry guns would cover that area, but that would look and feel... constructed, not really like it would be in real world in a harbour backside :D

Nice work!

You could place some traps or mines (if they are in the mod) so the player wouldn't go there. Or you could put up a guard on the rooftops, who could call for reinforcements.

hey, thank you very much for taking part on this brainstorm!
i have placeable mines, but placed mines on roofs :/
and guards on roof's is also no option, i really will keep it totally realistic. every thing, every worker and all enemies MUST be on spots where they would in real world.
hmm, wait, maybe a broken hanging cable with simply set the metal roof under electrification which cause a nice gift of health damage ?

Not on the roofs, but close to the entrance to the rooftops.

Maybe, but if I would be a guard/mercenary, I would like to be on the roof, so I would be seeing the enemies from a distance. However, this is not that high roof, so I wouldn't be there, but the guard could come there every 10 minutes or so.

the mines could be easily jumped over by the player, they work only if placed on terrain in dence vegetation, so you can't see them very good.
the walking guard is a excellent idea, but not on the roof, but the walking way around the building on first floor is perfect for that. and maybe i can connect the jump/landing event with a loud noise which will allert all guards... mom... thinking twice: it IS already a loud noice event...
so i can set up a guardroom which opens if a loud noise occours and you have to fight against more enemies if you do the parcour course.

I see, and what about bear traps on the rooftops? Of course, it's not really realistic, but even the Operation Flashpoint or Arma series isn't completely realistic.

I agree, but there should be a chance (not an easy one) to do this all silently just like in the Hitman series. I know that Far Cry 1, was never really a silent game, but it would be an interesting thing to see.

wow, bear traps is i nice idea! unfortunately i have no mood / time to insert such stuff anymore, you now why (pm ).
i focus now on a very fast beta rush release and then we will see what the future brings up.
the silent chance is already the desired way by walking the given way on ground and open the door from building.
only jumping from one roof to another cause such a loud landing noise :D

I understand and that's a pity.

I'm looking forward to the beta then.

That's good to hear.
