THE NEWEST RELEASE ONLY WORKS ON STEAM. THIS WILL BE FIXED ASAP.
Redux now includes FoxAhead's MultiFixer. This is a much more elegant solution to many of the issues that Redux addressed. Now, the user can choose Max FPS and FOV. Because of this, a modded Dunia.dll is no longer required. For best results, I recommend you remove the Dunia.dll from Redux, and/or do a fresh install of FC2.
- The mouse wheel has been re-enabled
- The camera FOV has been reverted to default. Previous Redux versions used 87, FYI.
- Cleaned up some icons in the notebook
- Reduced the amount of flamethrower enemies
- Beefed up the "Ultra High" graphics setting.
- This release works with ALL languages, but the HUD text changes are only for the English version
- The FPS lock is removed for player choice, but you really should cap at 60 via the MultiFixer!
- This is the final release of the mod, unless bugs are found. You know how it is...
Thank you for your work! It's nice to have an alternative to the "realism" mods for FC2. I was looking for "improved vanilla", and this is basically it.
Thanks man. Gonna find some time for another FC2 walkthrough
First of all: congrats on winning that Editor's Choice award. Well deserved. :)
As someone who owns the GOG version of Far Cry 2 I would like to know: has compatibility been fixed already or does the final version still only work with the Steam version?
Thank you!
I just got back from holiday travels. Gonna take a look at what's possible with the GOG version tonight. I'll post an update either way, ASAP.
Hey BigTinz!
Once again thanks for the awesome mod! Simply love it!
But does the final update mean you will no longer add new features?
Because I had a request, but if you are done adding new stuff I completely understand that you no longer take requests.
And if you are no longer adding new features are you okay with the idea that someone else modifies your mod? (and if so, do you happen to have a source-code of your mod?)
My request was trying to integrate the DLC weapons a bit more realistic (having to buy them from the gun-dealer and being able to upgrade them to better version; or at least have a weaker default. And maybe even seeing them on NPC's)
Anyway, I hope to hear from you!
Thanks again and congratulation on winning the 2019 Mod of the Year Award!
Well deserved!

Hi, just registered to ask again. Is there any way to have back the icon of player on the map? I suppose I'm not hardcore enough ;)
