listen, this guy is ruining a time & tested style that VALVe worked 6 years and arrested a man for, this game is the reason I even started gaming, this game is the reason I am in game development, and you trying to defend this, I love the graphical updates, I love the cinematics, but he crosses the line when he messes with the characters that are the show point of the game. The source engine has most of its features solely in the animation and development of characters, you have to understand looking at this from the artists view. this guy is splashing paint on characters VALVe spent a very long time designing to fit the character traits they have, if he respected VALVe as a developer, or even the creative process of making a game, he would not have done that...

I'm not defending this mod, I honestly could care less about it since I don't use it, but I was browsing the image gallery and you came up from time to time making those comments. To be honest you seemed like some troll.
As it happens I agree with your views on the characters, but from what I understand you can choose whether to install them or not.
BTW, if there's one thing I've learned that I'm sure of is that the truth is in the eye of the beholder. In other words, don't criticize the work or ideas of others just because you have a different opinion.

OK, he didn't ruin the game. He took a few creative liberties on the mod that one can entrirely choose not to play. Also, and god help me if I need to repeat this again:

One of the first things fake did was create HiDef versions of the original VALVE models. You can turn these on at any time, and actually, if I am correct, the VALVE HD models are the default.
Third, Fake loves VALVE; on previous iterations of this mod VALVE and he consulted to establish perfomance values.
Fourth, the only reason Fake makes these extra characters is for modding practice. This mod was created by Fake for fun. Originally this wasn't even supposed to be a public access game.
I can officially say, FakeFactory is achieving his goal. I mean what else does Hollywood do except for **** up some of the best shows, books, and games? :D
