v0.98 adds detailing and gameplay to the beginning of the level, introduces working completion % counter and other bug fixes&improvements;.
Installation and Launch
- Copy "Config" and "Published" folders to My Documents\My Games\Rise Of The Triad\ROTTGame
- Launch Rise of the Triad, choose "User map browser" in the main menu and select "Extreme Chase"
v0.98 Changelog
- Added details and scripted scenes to the beginning of the level, on the shore;
- Changed position of player start to fix the annoyance: some players moved forward right after appearing on the level, fell into the water and died;
- Added preview image to user map select screen;
- Fixed completion percentage counter: no more 0% all the time;
- Fixed a bug with incorrect coin count in stats screen: they are only counted if they are on persistent level. Had to move all coins there;
- Optimization: removed huge dynamic light from the graveyard, because the bug with out of place shadows on the ground magically disappeared;
- Fixed a glitch with the soldier who throws the red key: he didn't move if you looked out the window before exiting the castle;
- Fixed possibility to get stuck if one tries to reach the pipes to the right from start point by jumping through dry stumps;
- Added light and visual indication of safe zones at the spikes trap to decrease its risk to frustrate the player;
- Added fog volumes to lava at the final checkpoint;
- Added few more health pickups.
- Fixed a bug due to which state of destroyed barricade didn't load at checkpoint 5: respective event fired before the map it's on was loaded. Added delay before firing to let it load.
