I just wanted to give my congratulations, inducement and praises to the devs of the mod. You did a great job, not a flawless one, but a fresh and entertaining one nevertheless !

I never really was a JKO or JKA hardcore gamer (by that I mean multiplayer grinding one), I used to play Outcast on Gamecube and Academy on Xbox but I really digged the single player campaigns and the feeling you had when deflecting blasters, force-pushing stormtroopers off really high points (Bespin fans will know), epic lightsaber fights and low HP eye to eye staring whilst saber contact. All of the things I have found in your mod in a better way (to some extent, regardless of the bugs and crashes ^^).

I read a fellow Jedi (whose name I forgot, pardon me) that said that your mod could be the next CS:GO case: Steam produced, homecoming recently modded, "old" concept based entirely new game, and I must say that nothing in the entire video-game industry would make me more happy. You have all my support as a gamer, as a member of the community and as a star wars fan, a community that I believe is not shrinking anymore but rather growing back up.
The same jedi (you know who you are) finished his comment by saying that you are not alone in your struggle to change a good game into an even better and more polished one and he was right. Whatever the amount of time needed, you will get there. We're all waiting for that game to have the amount of acknowledgement and respect it never really has had.

With time will come dedicated servers, full scale customisation, new campaign missions, who knows really ? I see full hilt customisation, hardcore difficulty coop or solo missions to farm to enable unique saber colors or just effects (like the unstable blades, you know spitting ones like Kylo Rens' saber) ? More Clothes for the models ? Techniques ? Emotes ?
It's just my way of seeing the future of your mod ! Whatever it will be, I'll be here to see it happen !

Thank you again for all your efforts, keep up the hard work and my the force be in each and single one of you !

Thanks for the praise! It's great to see the response we've had from the launch of the mod and awesome to see how people still dig the old games.

It's been pretty tough, Serenity started work on the mod back in 2013 (possibly even earlier) and he's been working on it always with the intention of releasing it alongside the new film. I was only brought onto the project in August after Serenity saw the work I'd done for Evolution of Combat III Remastered. I'm a web developer and film maker so I was tasked with working on the menus from his version, creating the launcher and promoting the mod. The biggest problem we faced was that nearing release, Serenity's computer started to show signs of failure, and sure enough, about two weeks before we launched, his PC died. Luckily he managed to get a backup of everything and he continued work on the mod on an old laptop he had. Thankfully he managed to get the final copy to me so I could finish up my end and publish it to ModDB. But then... he was flooded. I haven't personally spoken to Serenity since early December because of this, he's currently living with friends and it doesn't sound like he's in a great situation at the moment. From what I understand he's managed to save his EoC source files somehow, but I don't have a copy of them so any bugs deep in the game (like crashes, etc) I can't work on, and obviously Serenity isn't exactly letting EoC take top priority at the moment either - for this reason, past the first patch, there probably won't be much more game content this year unfortunately unless Serenity is able to keep working on it send me stuff which I highly doubt. It's been really tough talking to everyone on ModDB through the launch and trying to address issues people have as I'm relatively new to the project and don't have the understanding that I need to answer everyone's questions. That said, it's been great fun. Working with Serenity to produce the promo materials, the videos and more has been a great experience and although time consuming and stressful, the community response has been worth it!

So, thanks again for your comments, I hope you can see now why it means so much when people show their support for the mod!

You are most welcome MattFiler !

As I said "Whatever the amount of time needed, you will get there..." . I can only say how much I understand if it takes time, we all have our own things to care about, and the making of the mod shouldn't be for you and Serenity just another source of stress but rather one of relief !
I'm sure things are going to get better at some point for Serenity and he'll get back to developping when he can ! Until then, keep on playing and maintaining this community afloat ! (No pun concerning Serenity's flood intended)

I'm convinced this mod has one of the greatest potential around nowadays !

Lots of support from France ! Bon courage !
