i don't think the Afrika Korps used Panzer II's, i thought that they had been replaced by the panzer III and IV's, and that the remaining panzer II were converted into tank destroyers and other things.
How can you replace a light tank role with a medium tank role? Every kind of tank has a role. The Panzer II tended to protect soft skinned vehicles in convoys and also functioned as a reconaissance vehicle. The Panzer III was most of the time the tank of choice for engaging other tanks while the Panzer IV was an infantry support tank with the low velocity 75mm gun until the Panzer IV special with the L/43 and L/48 75mm came out, which could do every medium tank role.
The Afrika Korps use the Panzer II until the end of 1942
In fact, most of the AK tanks during the early months of the north African campaign were PzII and PzIII, and there were even PzI. And no, the conversion into self-prpoelled guns were made in the motherland factories, not in the battlefield.
I meant conversions as in withdrawing them from service and converting them into other vehicles. But i guess i was incorrect, it is good that there are others to correct my mistakes. oh, and in reply to dartborne, the Panzer 2 Luchs was used as a reconnaissance vehicle from 1943 to 1944 (hypocritical to my last comment, but i was talking about as in a front line role)

there was a panzer 2 with a flame thrower i didnt see it in any of the 4 mods i used on COH it will be nice to see this mod brings it in
Yes, but its not like the Crocodile, It has 3 Turrets, the main turret seen in this image would house a single MG34 and there would be 2 turrets at the front corners that could cover a 180° arc, The main turret still being able to traverse a full 360°.

the DessertRats and AfricanKorps are exclusively for Operation only..or they were also added as Extra unit or maybe as Doctrinal unit??

Most likely this was ripped from Mow or any other game and thus noone use it because it's ripped. I also had a look at it and it's horribly oversized and not fully working either.
awesome work on the DR and AK, i see you've said that the factions will be exclusively for desert maps, will you be adding any custom desert maps for this release, or will it also work on any desert maps, people acquire from elsewhere?.
only work with desert maps included with the mod, scar must be prepared to activate the special doctrines.
