ET Headquarters adds a flexible character customization system to Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. It also adds gameplay changes and rebalances class mechanics. Its core gameplay remains close to vanilla ET.
The commandpost acts now as a valuable item to attack and defend. It influences gameplay in 3 fashions: radar intelligence, ammo resupply and chargebar unrest.
Radar intelligence: your enemies are not visible on the radar minimap when your cp is down. This is because the commandpost acts as a means of communication from your teams et headquarters. When it is down, it simply cant receive valuable information about enemy movements.
Ammo resupply: since your position is unclear when the CP is down, ammo lines will not reach the frontlines in a coordinated way. You will suffer from ammo loss.
Chargebar unrest: the CP acts as a natural battlefield headquarter. When it is down, your soldiers obvsiously will not be spawning rested into battlefield. Your chargebar will not recharge across respawns.
Indicators: the main hud shows the status of each teams cp. Have an eye on that to act quickly, in case you missed the sound announcement of a status change in cp. Also when you change your class in limbo, you will get a message about low ammo. In the limbo is also a redish ammo sign on your weapon selection visible, when your teams cp is down. In addition, your radar minimap flickers to show something is wrong.
