"Eden in Ashes" is a Story-driven Gritty-futuristic Third-person Multi-player Shooter (mouthful) that seeks to grab the player and pull him deep into a reality of fiction and a gaming experience of unusual sensory depth. This mod will gracefully use the details of sight and sound to pull you deep into every subtle and extreme detail of war. It will strive to separate itself from the many bland arcade shooters out there, by being more than a fun game to play, but a platfrom that enables us to push the limits of a "three hundred and sixty degree experience". Using features including haunting war torn maps that fit the context of a long and horrible conflict of a clashing faith. A grand list of effects such as camera jogging, rolling battlefield fog and a moving story. These affects along with others will be gracefully executed and weaved in the multiplayer gameplay to make a brand new kind of mod experience.
new eden infantry update
Now with hands!
Progressing nicely!
Looking very very nice, will be interested to see how it looks once it is textured and in the source engine.
Would this happen to be a fully grown male/female character at all? If so there is a serious issue with the anatomy of the figure. The figure I see here appears to be more of an infant then a grown adult. It could be possibly be the size of the head, as well as the length of his legs?
Other then that, the zbrush progress is looking nice and tidy from what i can see.
I don't know what to tell you cgSprite. It is indeed a full grown male character. The problem may be that we are all used to seeing the almost cartoonish hero proportions in game characters with tiny heads, overly broad shoulders, narrow waists, and long legs where this character is based on, and very closely matches, photo reference of an actual human being. Also, of course, he is wearing a helmet which obviously has to be bigger than his normal sized head making it look even further oversized. My goal was to make a model with realistic proportions although I have to admit even I think he could be a little more heroic looking in his stature. I don't know. It's an easy enough adjustment to make. We'll have to see what operation_sleepwalk thinks since they are his designs and maybe see how the general feedback plays out. Thanks for the input, by the way, and that includes the others who are posting. I appreciate any constructive feedback/criticism that can help my personal work and help make this mod the best that we can make it!
ya i didnt get that comment either i matched the pose up with my "zygote male" model and it matched flawlessly
Chest armor could be made bigger and more detailed, and kneepads would look nice if they were bigger and extended slightly up in front of the leg (So it sticks up a bit when he's kneeling). Also, feets and shins look to small, need to have some proper boots there.
Otherwise, I like it. Looks very close to the concept.
change the helmet, it looks funny to me. but everything else looks nice.
