Dystopia is a is a total conversion of the Source Engine that places players into tense combat situations in a high-tech world spanned by computer networks. As Punks or Corporate Mercenaries, players will fight through the physical world to gain access, via Jack-in Points, to cyberspace. Cyberspace is a three dimensonal representation of the world's network. In cyberspace, players must fight off enemy hackers and launch programs to gain control of critical systems and to affect the physical world. Gameplay progresses through inter-linked physical and cyberspace objectives, and players must work together to achieve victory for their team. Players will be immersed in action-packed battles, whether as a heavily augmented combat mercenary armed to the teeth with the latest in firepower and cybernetic implants, or as a twitch-reflex cyberdecker racing to infiltrate a cyberspace node.

June was a very busy month for the Dystopia crew. We'd like to introduce you to what could be an old friend for many of the Dystopian faithful. The screenshots below are taken from the freshly renamed dys_Broadcast (previously known during its public beta as dys_RadioShack). This is the handy work of Feanix who has joined the ranks of Team Dystopia.

Broadcast Street Broadcast Alley Broadcast Sewer

We're excited to publicly announce the first of the new Version 1 implants which has gone through our design, development and test cycle and come out a winner; Wired Reflexes.

This body implant is centered around enhancing the user's nervous system, providing them with the ultra dexterous fingers which allow for a number of advantages. Cheif among these are faster weapon switching and reduced reloading times.

To wrap up this months news, I'd like to announce that starting this Friday the 7th of July we'll be orginising Dystopia pickup matches (aka gathers) for the 3 main Dystopia playing regions: Australasia, North America and Europe. Click here for more info.

wired reflexes + bolt for the win! or wired reflexes + grenade launcher/rocket for the spam o death! Though I doubt you could use it witht eh rocket since the heavy isn't human.

You've picked that one correctly; wired reflexes doesn't decrease the reload time of the rocket launcher. While this is purely a balance matter, it also makes sense in theme as the RL reload is a purely mechanical re-arming. Rather than relying on the user to manually reload :)
