Hi, I have a tiny problem with this mod.

I edited OTO_mod35.grenade and added "_ap" to end of first line: {from "pattern grenade_ap" but DCG 5 still wont work.

I don't know why, but i can't seem to unzip the file.
When i try to unzip with 7z it just says "there is not enough storage space"(google translate) but i have enough space so what is the problem....

I´ve absolutely no idea. Never seen that kind of error before. Have you tried using WinRar (both 7z and WinRar can open the archive on my PC w/o any problems at all).

Do you open the archive by simply double-clicking on the file, or do you right-click and chose "Unpack to..."?

._. weird. Looks like my pc just needed to "sleep calmly" after a day of full work and now it realized i HAVE ENOUGH SPACE TO UNZIP IT...... weird ._.

Did you download the correct version, ie you arent trying to install the AS2 version of DCG when using vanilla MoW (or vice versa)?

Also, DCG v5.0 do not work with AS1 (just to make sure that you arent using AS1).

The vMoW version of DCG shouldnt give you this problem at all - I have never seen this error before.

You need 7Zip to open up the archives, but WinRar can do it as well.

I just made an account just to tell you a problem in DCG Mod. When I open the Campaign.exe and verify the locations and extract all maps and select the settings I want then after I pressed done there is a 3 errors called :
The program can't start because MSVCP120.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem and the same as the two called MSVCR120.DLL and VCOMP120.DLL. After I downloaded those 3 .dll in the Campaign folder and run the Campaign.exe and verify the locations and extract again all maps and select the setting I want again then when I press done it will say :
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. Do you know how to fix it ? I am really dying here just to play your mod.

Never seen this error before, and as far as I know, those two .dll´s doesnt come with our mod.

Do you use Windows 10? If not, then your error might be due to not having downloaded and installed the latest .net, .xna and visual #J subprograms.

Hi Zeke!

I have the same problem (The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) .. ) with DCG v5.0. This error comes from the texconv.exe.

I installed Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 3.1
form Microsoft.com

and Installed Microsoft Visual J#® 2.0 Redistributable Package – Second Edition (x64)
from Microsoft.com

and I downloaded VCOMP120.DLL from Dll-files.com
and I copied to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64

and I run the Campaign.exe as an administrator

but the error still exist.

I have 64 bit Win 10, use steam and the installation folder is not under the C:\Program Files\

I've the same setup as you, and the only thing that differs from yours, is that my copy of the vcomp120.dll resides in C:\windows\system32\

To be honest, I havent the slightest what the vcomp120.dll file do, I aint the coder of DCG.

I am very glad to see that this mod is alive and that you are still putting in time and effort to bring new content to it. Hands down, this has been my favorite mod for some years now, Thank You DCG team!

Though I was wondering - is Realism still being worked on?

Thanks, and the answer to your question is, as far as I know, realism isnt being worked on, due to the fact that the member who were responsible for that project (together with the unit pack for AS2) has left to work on Gates of Hell.

Your folder name should be simply "campaign" not "DCGv5_0_Full_MenOfWar". Try renaming your folder to "campaign" and if still doesnt work, please report back.

Also, did you press the "Extract All Maps" button in the DCG settings?

hello guys , are you still working on this awesome mod with MW AS2
the 4.5 Beta version doesn't save inventories and I looses tanks every now and then.

I love this mod and would love to see it kept alive.

Yes we are working on both versions. DCG5.0 works better than the old 4.5 version, so I strongly advice you to update DCG to the latest version. It doesnt fix the inventory bug to 100% but it doesnt appears as often as in v4.5.

Hi zkewolff , I really appreciate your feedback, I have recieved a message from One of your dev team members (Youtube video dude ) that said that he stopped working on the mod for another game called gates of hell.

I am actually playing the crap out of the 5.0 MW. I tried 5.0 for ASSULT SQUAD 2 and the inventory was resetting and I lost vehicules from mission to mission.

would you advise I switch to 5.0 AS2 because it's better?

I personally don't play AS2 at all since I still favor original MoW over the other GEM (the 3d engine) based games, but DCG5.0 do contain improvements over the older v4.5 no matter if you play vMoW or AS2.

From what I was told, the inventory reset bug and lost vehicles bug would be fixed if you use DCG5.0, but if it is 100% fixed, or just occur more rarely isnt something I can tell (reason to why, see above).

And yes, Ty2903 has stopped working on DCG for now since he is now working on the next GEM-based game, Gates of Hell.

Well , I have just installed AS2 and DCG 5.0 beta for it and inventory is still lost , and vehicles disappear after every mission.

I will stick to MoW 5.0 final for now as it has more units and more stable.

I have 2 more questions please?
How do I increase the force size?
If I backup the entire campaign folder, and then do stupid stuff with my units , then restore back the old backup will I have all my units and progress before this?

Q1: You can increase your force size by winning a whole campaign, ie. capture the enemy base map (the ones with a number under the flag) or by destroying all enemy units on the campaign map.

Q2: If you backup your unit, and then restore it, you will get the units back as they were when you saved them.

Well, I'm not the coder of DCG, but I think that it is possible to increase your unit size by changing a value in the dcg settings.xlm file. Look for a value in a line that says something like maximum unit size. But keep in mind that by changing these values, the enemy will get the same increasee in their size as well.

To add camouflage bushes to your cannons, you need to modify the .def file(s) for the cannons. I dont remember the names for the bushes though.

The potential for this could be much greater if there was a list of units to purchase during battles, and im not sure what it meant but when I beat the first skirmish it said to save, and restart and edit operations? I clicked restart from the game menu but it just restarted the same mission, so I went back to main menu and there is still only 1 selection for map. ANd I know there was a few maps in the operation I made.

Also how do you increase proclamation points and such? I want bigger battles. The normal missions start off with more than ive seen this seems too..

This isnt a skirmish SP mod, this is a ongoing SP Campaign mod, ie. you start with a poorly equipped unit, which after each won campaign, can afford to buy better and better units.

could you add vehicles from DCG 4.0 for assault squad to dcg 5.0 for the original men of war such as the panhard, b1 bis, and all the other exclusive vehicles from DCG 4.0 assault squad?

Not very likely since we dont have a working French nation in the mod yet (and yes I know that the Germans captured these and re-used them). And for the other exclusive vehicles for DCG4.0 AS, I aint really sure which ones you are talking about, I guess that the member who were responsible for that pack, added vehicles that I wasnt aware off.

PS. A French nation, together with Poland, Netherlands and Romania, is being worked on, but due to real-life priorities, these wont be added into the mod any time soon.

-late and early Ausf.E Tiger, Pz2 Ausf a (dark, latter version of panzer 2)

there are a bit more but they are a pain in the a** to find lol

Those French vehicles were never used by the British so I do not see any point of adding them to the Brits.

The Western Front vehicles you mentions, are made by DMS and we are not allowed to add then into MoW (but it is Ok to port MoW models to AS/AS2).

The Tiger I did came in Early, Middle and Late versions during WW2. They differed in details, but all had the same guns, armor thickness etc, so no reason to add more than one version until someone actually make all versions from scratch (planned).

alright thanks for clarifying. i wanted the french vehicles back mainly because adds variety to the British in the battle of France as the only good British tank in that theatre is the Matilda II, all the rest are crappy paper-thinned cruiser tanks or harmless peashooters.

are you going to start the Churchill AVRE and Churchill crocodile and all the other AS Vehicles from scratch or is that against DMS copyright as well?

DMS cant stop me from doing my own 3D models, it isnt like they own the rights, as long as I dont use their work, new models made from scratch is ok to add. Bblack Prince and other never-used during ww2 vehicles will however not be made/added. I only make models that actually saw combat and were used during ww2 (which means that the Maus will not be added, but the Sturer Emil will be).

Due to the team member who made the unit roosters, left the team before he had finished them, SS never got the ability to gain levels. I completed the level abilities for UK, US, etc but due to the boring work, and my total disinterest in the Waffen-SS, I simply cant find the time to work on it.
