DragonBall Source is a DBZ mod for Half-Life 2's Source Engine. This mod is now a Multiplayer Mod, and not SinglePlayer like previously intended. Each character will be assigned their own specific set of attacks, with power levels balances to create fair and balanced gameplay. The main multiplayer game is a team based game with two different sub-modes, namely "Capture the Dragonballs" and "King of the Hill". The "Saiyan Saga" (first release) has been released and is currently available via the Downloads page. The next major release will be the "Namek Saga" containing even more characters and maps. There will also be more features, which will mainly focus on transformations. The new character list hasn't been decided upon yet, but there should be between 15 and 20 extra characters to choose from.

A six month development cycle is remarkably short where mods are concerned, so well done for getting it to this level so early, but don't feel pressure to rush these things out.

oh, and if you want to look at a succesful mod that did it the way i'm talking, look at dystopia, they came out with a demo, and people liked it, but they withheld some things, as well as releasing less visually pleasing effects such as cloak at first, but then upgraded it. However even though cloak didn't look as cool at first, it sure as hell worked just fine. later on they made it really cool looking with an update. Thats what i'm talking about.

here's my two cents

don't release it if it looks so unrealistic that it's completely unbelievable.

Now that may sound harsh, but you guys really really need a lot more animations for this. I would really rather have had two characters to play whose animations were fully working, so if you kick twice, you don't move forward seemingly floating on the air. The amount of content for 6 months is really good, I just wish you guys had focused on getting one character done at a time, so that people would keep comming back when you added new content, instead of not having much to look forward too except for new animations. I really don't mean to offend anyone on this team. It's just that being a gamer, games that really don't work too well (take iron grip's first release, i haven't played it since it crashed on me on the first release) people don't come back for seconds. If they have less content but work great, then i'll go back for fifths and sixths. So next release, if you cut back on characters and prioritized animations and gameplay mechanics, i'm definitely downloading it.

again, im not trying to insult you, just giving you a hardcore gamer's opinion.

Wow, I love this mod, and i'm really looking forward for further releases, for the next release I think you should focus on getting everything that's in-game sorted out problem, as in optimizing it, sorting out the animations the copyy-ness the lag, sorting out the bugs, and getting everything that's their perfect, and then focus on content. Again can't wait for next release.

thats what a beta is... it has bugs and things that need to be improved upon... if it didn't, it'll be the fll version, not beta ;)
