Doom 3 Evolution is a Single-Player Game-Play Conversion Mod. It is meant to be played with original Doom 3 storyline/levels. The main features of this mod are it's original Class, Skill and Genetic Modifier, as well as Weapon upgrade, systems. Not sure how to play? Want to explore all the ways to go through the game? This sand box map will let you play in any way you wish, allow you to try all classes, augments, implants, tools. Want to try your character in a battle? You can do that here as well.

I know this is just a tutorial sand-box, but it awfully lot reminds me of Neurological's "Mind" mod project for Doom 3. The black/white feeling...:P

About the feel/look of the map.
First- I have great respect for Neurological, we actually worked together for his X-Mass mod (I'm the voice of the doom guy :D ), but the VR setting is actually inspired by System Shock(1 and 2). If you've played my previous mod Wrathchild, you will also recognise that these are the same textures I used there :D.
So just to be clear, I did not snatch the idea from the dude, I stole it from System Shock :D.
Yes, it does look a lot like SS2's training mission, and SS1's cyberspace. Not that that's a bad thing :)

Nice going, love Doom 3 mods. Some really crack stuff found in D3 mods.
