Gameplay experience refinement mod for the original Doom-3. This is your one-stop-shop for everything there is to rid Doom-3 of all of its blunders & handicaps - and fully transform it into a finely-tuned exploration/survival-oriented action-horror experience in style of the higher difficulty "Dead Space". The mod includes completely remade sound effects, completely remade visual effects, ambient weapon flashlights; weapon, enemy and item re-balancing, re-arranged and modified levels, greater challenge as well as plentiful quality of life improvements. The most accomplished tribute to Doom-3 ever made.
I didn't enjoy Doom 3 very much in his "vanilla state", while I'm not regretting a single minute playing this mod. If I have to play Doom 3, this is THE mod that I'm always going to use.
Some of the things that I like the most are:
- New sounds.
- Made the game harder to accomplish a survival horror feeling, so you need the player to use strategy.
- Added a lot of QoL changes that remove little annoyance (such as the gasping on the outdoor areas or the smoke of the weapons covering the screen).
- The possibility to choose which difficulty of the mod you wish to play with (I'm going for Survivor difficulty)

10/10 Excellent mod on every aspect of it
This mod is pretty Nice and makes doom 3 a hell of a lot more fun. Though I do wish that you didn't mess with the zombie marine voice's. I found them way to cheesy compared to the more half life 2 esqe radio chatter.
So this mod is pretty solid overall. The sfx and guns are a solid improvement over the original, and the lack of ammo and armor makes this a true survival-horror challenge in contrast to the overstocked OG Doom 3.
So why am I giving this review a 1?
Unlike other mods that are self contained from the base game, this mod affects the original base files which *cannot* be turned off in-menu. And unlike what the description says, this mod *does not* play nice with other mods and will give you initiation crashes upon startup.
As you can probably guess, I had to reinstall Doom 3 all over again just to get it working again. For this major inconvenience alone, I have to give this rating a 1...which is a shame because this mod is actually pretty decent standalone.
Edit 6/3: Hexen Mage Tower gave some instructions on how to uninstall, disregard the review.
