but is this just a Hi Def + Immersive mod?
One which is probably less up-to-date?
Is there *any* advantage at all to playing this instead?
Immersive and Ultimate are made by the same guy. The main difference as I understand it, besides textures that may be different from Hi Def mod, is that Ultimate alters gameplay mechanics while Hi Def doesn't. Check the description.
“Immersive Mod for Doom 3 BFG” changes the gameplay.
Ultimate = Hi Def + Immersive
Except Ultimate won't be as up-to-date as combining those two parts separately.

Right, sorry for the mix-up. It's Hi Def as standalone that doesn't change gameplay. As the author said, Immersive is a continuation of Ultimate. Hi Def may be more recent but I guess some may prefer Ultimate...
well, to clarify... Ultimate was created and released before i decided to make a spinoff called ImmersiveHD for Hi Def. ;)
Gameplay is cool ! But graphics looks like they are some HD textures missing (especially for doors ?)
I don't have the BFG edition, only original, but perfected and absolute HD seemed to have more HD textures here and there.

Hello and thanks for the awesome mod! Finished doom3 with no problems at all. In RoE though when I click the elevator panel to exit erebus dig site the game crashes and i get thrown out in windows. Any ideas?

why not working with cracked version???????? or is it because i have windows 10????
You won't find any decent mod author that supports cracked games (at least not in public). Buy it, it's not that expensive.
