mod won't start with no error whatsoever Thread - Doom 3 BFG Hi Def mod for Doom III

Hi everybody,
I'm writing here because I just got a steam version of Doom 3 BFG and I was looking forward to check the hi def mod.

I followed installation directions (unpacked the HI def Mod in the installation folder of doom3) but when I try to execute the RDBDoom3BFG basically nothing happens (I have a bit of loading cursor that then disappears). I tried every compatibility mode. Even testing the program doesn't give me any error code or anything.

I've got windows 10 and a geforce RTX 3070. I already tried unistallling and reinstalling the game (even if the game remembered my resolution settings).

Anybody can help me? Thanks a lot

needs to be in the doom3 bfg installaion folder

wont work for doom3

execute rbhidef.exe not rbdoom3bfg.exe

The mod does not start. I downloaded Doom 3 BFG Hi Def v4.0 full into Doom 3 BFG. both executable that was included does not start but Doom 3 BFG starts. Thanks for the help.
