Dimension of the Boomed is an short episode for Doom II in the style of Quake. It includes 7 playable maps, designed in Boom format, with custom monsters and effects. Intended for single player or coop.

Description

A version of the mapset intended to be played with Quake Champions : Doom Edition, and in fact requires it to run at all. The maps are converted to UDMF format, and use QC:DE 's custom set of Quake monsters. Many encounters play very differently and are often tougher than the original, though much depends on your choice of Champion. Use GZDoom or Zandronium, load QC:DE first and the mapset second.

this is cool, but why have it to where it's restricted to only allowing Quake 1 enemies to be used and not others

Partly it was easier to do it that way for a variety of reasons. But it was also a choice to only use Quake monsters in a set of maps resembling Quake.

Is there a chance for a full version with Quake Stuff Ultra mod? I used the vanilla one but some enemies still appear with the Doom sprites.

I've moved on to other projects, so chances are basically zero. Sorry.

What is the command I should enter to play this on Linux?

Never having used Linux, I couldn't really say. The way I personally run this in windows, is to select QCDEv1.5.1.pk3 then select DOTBQCDE_RC2.wad and drag both files on top of the gzdoom.exe

Do you use your own monsters in the wad for this? Since the Q1 zombies don't turn grey when they stand back up. QCDE 2.0 added weapon upgrades and monsters in the wad do not drop them, or at least haven't dropped yet in the first two levels with a few hundred enemies killed.

Some of the monsters have minor modifications, but since they inherit from their parent QCDE class they should have the same behaviour, but I can't rule out that the drop rate (which is fairly rare even in the IWADs,) isn't getting reduced further.

I have seen weapon upgrades dropping in version 2.0, so it's also possible that you've simply been very unlucky, but I'll look into adding at least one hidden upgrade to each map, to make sure the player isn't entirely at the mercy of the RNG.

It was a strew of bad luck. Sorry for bothering you.

This map pack should be included as an official campaign for the QCDE!

by the way, its cool to play with "DOTB_TC3.wad" too, since you can use multiple monster theme packs ;)

Man, no offense but this map sucks! I can't even beat the first level no matter how hard i try. The level design is bad, enemies placement is bad, no guns pickups and you only have few weak guns that doesn't do shyet! Where is fun in that?? Why not just recreate first Quake levels for Doom and thats it? Why make this horrible maps that is not even playable normally and doesn't give me a fun time to play it??? Anyway, i doubt that you gonna give me a normal answer, so i will not even waste my time to wait for it. Too bad that i don't know shyet about learning making my own maps. I would do PROPER Quake 1 maps for everyone to enjoy.

Urthar do ignore Deathcold's comment. It's a great map. Ir you think it needs improvement, just add on. If not, well still enjoy it anyway.
Well done
