• Depths of war is a ground assault/naval assault mod. featuring over 30 of the most recent additions to arsenals of all nations. it features realistic teamplay enviornments and objective fed online map play. the versatility of the half life engine allows for the realism involvled in warfare. we will be including these features into the mod, such as limbs being removed by certain bullet calibers, and otherwise. the map systems will be based on objectives for both teams, each objective vital for the completion of the map and based on the teamplay of the players. the weapons arsenal will be divided up between the lead teams, each team having its own selection of powerful and versatile weapons to complete their given tasks.
• Uniquness will be in the hands of the mappers, and of their teammates. the dow team is striving to make as many realistic advances as possible. a take upon skills but twisted when combined with the ability to customize EVERY weapon to your exacting specifications. for long stealth trips you can pack clips with double drum ammunition, silencers, laser scopes, flashlights. every conceivable gun toggle. we also offer iron sight aiming systems. being able to use the iron site for weapons without scopes increases ones ability to hit at distance 10 fold.

We've already gathered several people including a coder, weapon skinner, a couple mappers and weapon sound artist.
We are in need of people to help us in the following catagories:
REQUIREMENTS: You need mIRC and eventually you will need Half-life 2 so you can begin testing with us later this winter.
-Coding (A second coder will help speed things up a lot)
-Player Modeler (Preferably one who can make good army models and hands)
-Weapon Modeler (Someone who is skilled at making realistic weapon models such as AK-47's, M16's, M4's, Mp5's, ect. We also may accept any models already made by the modeler and consider adding it to the mod)
MODELERS MUST KNOW HOW TO MESH THEIR MODELS
-Texture Artist (Yes now that we're redoing our textures for Half-life 2, we need someone who can make good textures from a list we will provide)
-Weapon/player Skinner (We could use a second weapon/player model skinner to help us boost our progress)
-Sound Technician (Same with sound technician, our guy is based on weapons but we need someone for good player sounds and such)

Just joined up for this mod as lead modeller, it has great potential! And it will have a LOT of things that alot of other mods don't have at all. I can't wait till we start producing lots of work and get the site done, I recommend alot of people to go to the irc and talk about this mod and i reccommend alot of people to sign up for the forums before it gets huge!
