After completion of the SOL Knossos gate the GTVA sends a small recon fleet to investigate. Upon exiting subspace they realize nothing is familiar. With no way to return they begin to colonize. The native factions, TEC, Advent and Vasari take notice of the intrusion and some believe they should be removed. The GTVA was not prepared for this eventuality and sent older Great War era vessels, and in order to survive they must scramble to construct the more advanced vessels from home. However a old foe may be lurking in the shadows.

As the mod progresses i'm just wondering if you're considering changing neutral ships and pirates to Freespace ones. If not, is it possible to make it like that in certain maps, via map editor or anything like it.

Assuming pirates would be Freespace ships, it would be nice to change them from just sending bigger waves to something different, instead of sending 10 Reapers, a few Pillagers and some more (as an example) it would be cool to start it of with a few Fenris in the beginning, then several Fenris with one Leviathan, then 2/3 Leviathans, a small group of Fenris all the way up to Leviathans and one great war era Orion. Although this is all too personal as i don't like the pirate ship spam too much, i would rather face 5 stronger ships(comparable to those 30) than 30 small ones.

I have pondered changing the pirates. I'm debating having the Pirates become the HOL and NTF, or give the player the ability to choose via diplomatic action to become the NTF if GTA, HOL if PVN and either side forming the GTVA.

For the time being I don't plan on changing the vanilla pirates.
