Dead Air is a total conversion for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series based on Call of Chernobyl, encompassing all aspects of the game from graphics, audio, and special effects to various gameplay and AI features. The mod evolves from the ideas started in Call of Misery, a previous project of the mod author. Major inspirations for Dead Air include projects such as NLC, MISERY, Autumn Aurora, and OGSE. You have not done this correctly - turned all conventional weapons into Gauss weapons. LoL.
hit_power weapons tied to the ratio of its caliber to the length of the gun barrel. The power of the weapon is regulated by the parameters of ammo ( k_hit, k_ap, k_dist, k_disp, k_impulse, k_pierce)!!!

I know. But I can't find those parameters on the default configs and Im just lazy to do some more tweaking lol. Anyway thanks for the feedback.

EDIT: I've found it but I've got some other work to do and probably ( if you guys want ) will change the ammo damage this time.

Is there a chance to get reduced mutant health instead of increased weapon damage? I think stalkers die pretty easily, it's the mutants that drain mag after mag

Go to your extracted gamedata and go to "gamedata>configs>creatures" and then you will see all the mutant configs like m_snork, m_boar etc. and change the health value at the line "Health = ****" at "Offline Alife" section.

Do I have to copy & paste the 'Ammo damage' file only if I want the damage to be mostly or purely ammo-based? Or do I have to copy the 'Gun damage' as well and then overwrite the weapons.ltx from the Ammo damage file? Because my game won't even start, I'm getting this log:

Edit: I've copied the Gun damage file first and then I've overwritten the weapons.ltx included in the Ammo damage's weapons.ltx, the game started now. But for example, my SVT-40 has a full damage bar in the description, and it uses 762x54 (I believe). Is this normal?

Yup. As most of the weapons are overpowered and its meant to do that.
