Dead Air is a total conversion for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series based on Call of Chernobyl, encompassing all aspects of the game from graphics, audio, and special effects to various gameplay and AI features. The mod evolves from the ideas started in Call of Misery, a previous project of the mod author. Major inspirations for Dead Air include projects such as NLC, MISERY, Autumn Aurora, and OGSE. Dead Air prioritises the development of the game engine’s potential, complexity of gameplay, and attention to detail, along with addressing both the quality and quantity of all content.

Heh I actually did it the way "its supossed to be" and did some missions for them to gain their trust. -500 -ish, is enough to make them permanently neutral to you.

Just tested, it works. There only seems to be a config file that changes the in game cursor, you could try leaving it out. The rest seems perfectly normal and compatible.

I've never understood why Mercenaries and Loner are agressive to each other. loners are basically merc's on freelance. i like the Addon nice work :)

Ok, let me explain you then. According to the lore many stalkers in the zone are fugitives running from the outside world and the zone is their solitude. In the zone you start a new life. Maybe you can earn the money to buy back your old life, maybe not. Mercs are different, they disregard new laws of the zone. They see all stalkers as criminals and potential targets. Stalkers hate them because they are not fugitives like them, they are here to execute outside worlds orders. It really make sense for them to shoot at sight.

The thing about modding though is creating a world that suits you in every way, so if loners and mercs are nearly synonymous for you, so be it. :)

Well, who are the bandits then? And why bandits are neutral to the mercs if so?

Bandits are stalkers without any morals or rules. This freedom and anarchy cost them their integrity. They don't care if mercs carry out bounties on other bandits because they would gladly do the same if the money's right.

No, they are not. Actually, they are fugitives running from the outside world, and in their faction seems like very strong rules and hierarchy, most members don't have "freedom" of action without permission from higher ranks (peple like Sultan, etc), just listen to their talks near camps, remind yourself some quests from COP.

"By August 2012, the faction has collapsed into multiple subgroups. Sultan took control of most of the bandits in the center of the Zone (namely the ones in Zaton), while those in Yanov were split between Jack's group and Shishak's group."

"The Bandits are raiders and marauders of the Zone, ranging from petty thugs and gangsters to organized crime syndicates. Apart from Freedom, which treats them with marginal contempt, everyone hates the Bandits due to their nefarious acts of robbing and exploiting honest Stalkers. Most Bandits are unorganized and leaderless; there are only a few known Bandit leaders and camps, and even then their groups are still fairly disorganized, with underlings always trying to take control by overthrowing the previous leader."

It's from the stalker wiki. They do get together in bigger groups from time to time given there is a person powerful enough to bash some sense in their heads, but they fall apart immediately after that guy is gone.

Still bandits create groups with leader to hunt stalkers/control some key points to get easy money from weak loners/others, not even metioning that bandints who are not under protection/relation with big leaders can't be called bandits anymore - without organised supply base and traders, they will become savage raiders who hunt for the supply. Those will not survive in place like Zone, when everyone would be againts them. Which leads us to the point that those "independent" groups of bandints are not independent at all.
So now, since we turned wiki mode on, you still think that: "stalkers in the zone are fugitives running from the outside world" and "criminals"?
And I also confused with the: "Mercs are different, they disregard new laws of the zone. They see all stalkers as criminals and potential targets. Stalkers hate them because they are not fugitives like them", so mercs are fugitives now, as well?

Bandits and loners are kind of similar in that regard, they act like a faction but the're not really one. It's just their moral code that's different. I don't really see how having the same dealer makes you a part of a faction. They are independent the same way player is independent when he's shopping at freedom's bar while not beeing a part of freedom. You're making it sound like all stalkers are criminals but I never said that. Some of them are, you can learn about that in CoP sidequests. CoP also shows what mercenaries think about stalkers. That last one is most likely gramatical error, I'm not using English too often.

What you describe here is pretty much the what always happens in DA. You meet a group of bandits with a merc mixed in, you better steer clear of that place. You meet a group of ecologists with a merc mixed in, better steer clear of that group.
Dead Air is way less about combat than e.g. Anomaly. And many times I found myself running away from combat because low ammo/low health or bad terrain for fighting.

Changes in the game-relations are best made with a new game.

Also: 20hrs of playtime is not so much for Dead Air. You will loose some progress granted but should you loose anything superspecial after 20hrs of gameplay then you were superlucky finding that stuff to begin with. ;D

Something that I kinda wonder as well is why Mercs are hostile to Clear Sky.
