What worked for me: take the game.txt (in the root) of an other good working mod (I took it from Eye of the Storm) and replace the Cursed-game.txt with this one.
Then open the txt, replace the name of the game (third of fourth line) from Eye of the storm (in my case) with Cursed,
save and close the txt.
That did it.

You have to put the 2013 SDK in upcoming, it worked for me
Mod crashes after VALVe logo.
Of course I use upcoming beta.
