Concert of Europe is a mod for Victoria 2 Heart of Darkness version 3.04. It sets the start date to 1815-11-20, with close to historical nations, populations and administrative divisions. The mod includes dozens of new nations as well as major and minor changes to everything ranging from pop migration to a completely reworked map!

Main features of the mod

  • A new start date: 1815-11-20 - the day the treaty of Paris was signed.
  • A completely reworked map with far more accurate terrain, historical administrative divisions and almost 2000 new provinces.
  • A completely reworked population, based on census data when available.
  • A rework of cultures around the world, with many additions.
  • A completely reworked population migration system.
  • A great number of new events to simulate the independence wars, treaties, conferences and other events that happened during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Hello, I want to play with Mexico but it comes out that it's from Spain, and I already saw that you decided that way but it's better that they can't put it as new Spain as in EU4 so that one can make it independent, I don't want to play with Spain and then release it.

I made the decision to not have Mexico independent at the start (as it was controlled by Spain and the independence fighters led more of a guerilla campaign than an outright war at the time). So you have to start as Spain and release Mexico to play as them.

One question, will there be more updates? If there is, what else will come? and when will it come out?

Yes! I am still working on the mod, albeit slowly and with the usual a bit too high level of ambition! But there will be more updates.

As for when I cannot say at this time.

I have a doubt when I already install the mod and run it, everything goes well, but when the mod is supposed to appear in the game, the normal thing appears, like when you enter without mods, I want to clarify that I buy it and if I have to download it pirated please if anyone knows help me out or that it is necessary to buy victory 2 darkness?

You need all the expansions and the latest patch for this mod. That is most likely the reason it doesn't work for you.

I'm just wondering, how did you change the size of each individual unit from 3k to 4k? I'm trying to find it in the files and can't seem to find any mention of unit sizes.

It is the "max_strength" value in the respective units' file in the "Units" folder. You can also change the "POP_SIZE_PER_REGIMENT" in "defines.lua" ("common" folder) to change the pop size required to create the unit.
