A massive rip in the in the very fabric of reality was caused inadvertently by the Scrins use of their rift weapon. This anomaly would eventually be known has the Dimensional rift. The effects were devastating, the time line was shattered and suddenly people, events, vehicles even buildings suddenly ceased to exist. Suddenly both GDI & Nod had vastly altered armies. Old technology was mixed in with the new, briefly the war was suspended, has both armies struggled to come to terms with both their loses and their new additions. And what of the Scrin? completely unaffected! It was 3 weeks after the dimensional rift that the first skirmish occurred. Nod forces destroyed a relief convoy that was moving to assist a small GDI outpost, all personnel were lost. Belatedly GDI declared war on Nod, the tools of war may have change, but Tiberium was still present, Kane still alive and mankind's future still uncertain.

i really like the idea and the model etc
but the texture looks nothin like the other alien units

also maybe add weapons like the alien disitgraters wen unit get in too close,or is that going too far?

Sorry, but DetoNato is right, this texture looks way too rainbow-ish, the Blue with Cyan glow was way cooler.

So your issue is with:
A) TerroR's Texture job (best viewed from his renders and NOT bloody C&C3 having been 'changed' due to the nature of the 'ObjectAlien' shader).
B) The fact that the afore mentioned 'ObjectAlien' shaders use of a reflection texture: 'AURefmap'(you know, the RAINBOW), adds a certain fruitiness to TerroR's texture?
The moving 'rainbow' which is visible on all EA Scrin textures (the darkness of said textures tending to mask the effect), especially if your graphics settings are very high?
C) The fact that this was a one-off 'Scrin' design and that Westwood never used this style skin for any of their future concepts for their unreleased game & that EA also never used this style for their Scrin style?
It does look odd. The skin on this (TerroR) remake and the original WW ingame and render are quite different.
Just so you knew, the 'Scrin Ship' is NOT a Scrin Ship, it's built by Nod :P

While I accept that the C&C story makes little sense, considering the FMV and mission evidence.
Regardless of 'who' built it, Kane refers to it has an 'Alien' ship built at the end of the last war.
He said 'built at the end of the last war', but by all we know, he built it, at the end of the last war.

did you rebuilt the whole ship or did you somehow get hold of the original 3d files if i may ask?? cause it does look awfully close to the original model, especially the metallic vein on the ship.
and yes, if you review the fmv of TS, it did mention, from the mouth of that cracked Nod general in Cairo that Kane built it with the help of tacitus.
This is not Scrin, in TS they said Kane made it and he is some kind of other alien, not Scrin.

Any chance if this unit will be released as a source code with the art files for C&C3? Madin did import that unit in his mod but he won't release the source code without the permitted consent of the original creator. I am sure 99% of us won't be using 3ds Max to edit and modify this model and then export it into w3x, which is quite hard to do.

Very cool and I like the texture a lot. It is great to see the crashed Alien Ship up and flying! It doesn't really fit in with the rest of the current Scrin though, so are you goin to change them to match this or have this as a kind of 'one-off' unit?
Dont owns this unit more to nod than to scrins?
I mean, it uses Scrin technology but was made by man.
