Once you've built a Battle Lab, you have the choice to pick one of two researchable techs: Nuclear weapons or Advanced explosives.

Shown here are two new units obtained from Advanced explosives research: the Scattershot and the Ravager, both of which replaces the Flak Track and Tesla Trooper.

The Scattershot serves the roles of a transport, anti-air and to some extend, light artillery. Against ground targets, it fires a burst of three improved unguided HE missiles which can badly damage groups of targets. It is mainly effective against infantry and light vehicles. Against air targets, it fires a burst of three guided missiles which can damage groups of aircrafts if they are closely packed.

The Ravager is an armored infantry designed to resist explosions and in turn, cause explosions. These guys are armed with rifles that fire exploding bullets. The explosion from these bullets causes splash damage, allowing them to damage groups of targets. Ravagers are pretty fanatical too. They carry along an explosive pack which is detonated when a special sensor does not detect heartbeat. Alternately, you can tell them to self-destruct.
