Description
Portugal will be a Spanish protectorate in the next release. In 1580-1640 the Spanish Habsburgs were kings of Portugal, which had considerable autonomy. Felipe III of Spain is Filipe II of Portugal.

So that mean Portugal can't declare war on Spain (or Vice Versa) ?
Spain can, and both sides trade and can send their armies into the other's territory. A protectorate also pays tribute to their protector.
