I just noticed, there's a reconnaissance soldier, will we be able to customize the squads or are they pre-made?
I'm sorry, I started tracking this mod-it's great. Nice job too.
they are pre-made, but you can expect them to be able to perform things specific to their BF2142 counterparts, for examole.. Recon kit players often equipt themselves with gadgets like RDX and landmines, and the Assault class has their med kit and so many other things.. expect to be able to use these gadgets as secondary powers for these units through upgrades ;D
when you first train them from the barracks, they only come with standard heavy armour and the kits' standard issued weapon ^^

Are all the soldiers going to wear Heavy Armour then?
yupyup! all come with heavy armour and their standard issue weapon as default.
So what kind of upgrades have you got planned for the infantry? (If you have any planned at all at the moment)
well, each infantry type would have around 2 or 3 (still deciding) "powers" that are basically representations of our unlockable gadgets from BF2142. you can probably expect the most popular unlocks for each infantry type to be available in CNC2142, like the med kit, motion mines, EMP grenades, smoke grenades, so on.. ^_^
Oh, well those are cool and useful upgrades, planting motion mines and EMP grenades. It will make infantry more useful.
Heavy armour? Why not just make light and heavy armor infantry different units. It shouldnt be too hard or timetaking to just copy the existing units, raise their hp and call'em heavy assault or something like that (i think) Also it would add more units to the game and add more strategies. but im not complaining, this is just a suggestion.
