Reborn on the RNA engine, the RA2 and YR story will be relived with real time 3d graphics. We of the ConRed team are aiming to recreate the gameplay of Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge on the Red Alert 3 engine, with a new Yuri Campaign. Later on, we will be working on a mod that is an expansion to this one; Condition Red: Rise to Power. The setting of the mod will take place after the events of YR, with Yuri in the psyonic prison. This allows us the create a whole new story continuation, with a lot of new content.
The Soviet army depends on the Tesla Reactor to run it's base operations. Like Power Plants, Tesla Reactors are extremely important, but are vary vulnerable. These structures must be protected at all times. Spies are a particular nuisance.
Now it's in 3D, we will be able to finally see where those two pipes at the back go.

My guess always was that they were intended for indoor missions and those pipes simply go into the walls. But since RA2 doesn't have any indoor missions, they just reused the graphic.
That sounds plausible
However that assumes that Tesla reactors would always be built up against a wall which may not always be true even in an indoor mission.
The back pipes look like exhausts, there doesn't seem to be a curve leading anywhere. They probably end up there and they're hollow. I did recreate this myself in COD, you can check Rooftops 2 mod where i used it.
I know the pipes do not really lead anywhere, I was only making a humourous quip about those pipes
Regardless of the pipes and their placement, I love the Tesla reactor, it's an iconic RA2 building.
