The latest Version of DOOM BFA now with an installer.
This is an installer for DOOM BFA. Works both on Windows (.NET 4.5) and linux (Mono Project). The installer contains both the main (BFG/2019) Version and the Classic Edition.

- When using the Classic Version, show on the console the name of the classic game with the engine version
- Allow to change the game title with DEHACKED (old Strings ONLY)
- When using Aspect Ratio Correction adjust automatically and the FOV (using parts of Crispy Doom source code)
- Add controller glyphs. The glyphs will be shown only on the menu and they support both Xbox and Playstation layouts
- Disable aim assit when freelook is active. Also added the option to re-enable the aim assist if freelook is active.
- In DOOM 2 (& Expansions) after the end game cast, show the game's Credits and if the player interact again restart the cast
- Add support for JPN PS Controller layout on and added select and back messages for the menu with a controller
- Silence haptic feedback on Demo playbacks

- Fixed cinematic audio with OpenAL
- Allow to modify the Credits with new .lang files in the credits folder, and include some DOOM 3 (2019) credits
- Fix console text input on SDL2
- Extend Vertex Cache and Save File maximum size for better mod support (Warning: It will break previous save files)
- Allow to set brightness in lower than 1 from the Settings
- Improve even further the classic weapon view
- Restore Health tunnel Vision Effect
- Add Japanese PS3 layout configuration (and switch) for the menus
- Add window Icon to the SDL2
- Add Option to the Advance Settings in order to enable/disable the damage motion (replaced Adaptive Tonemapping HDR)

In the gog version of the game of Doom 3 BFG, using version 1.2.6 (CDL.exe with Spanish language), the game starts and you can start game and load game without problems. In the version 1.2.7, using the same values in the CDL.exe, the game starts, but when it is time to start a new game or continue the old one, there is a console error:

If I reinstall version 1.2.6 the game works again

What else the console says?
The intro does play, but with subtitles in Spanish and voices in English, and then comes out that error in the console, in version 1.2.6, it plays with subtitles in Spanish and voices in Spanish, and then continues without problems.

PD: The error remains even if you select english in CDL.exe

how do I change the language? (I do not speak English)
Use CDL.exe (comes with the port) and set the language or use the launch argument +set sys_lang "<name of the language>"
For some reason it won't let me change the resolution to something other than 1280x720.
Have you tried to do it multiple times, or change to lower resolution?
Yes I've tried several times. There is no lower resolution option available. 1280x720 is the lowest possible in the list.
If it is not matching you default resolution, try to delete (or rename) the C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Id Software\DOOM BFA\<base or D3 modname>\DBFAConfig.cfg, and try again. Even through it sounds more likely that you got in one of the many fullscreen fallbacks for some reason.
Deleting DBFAConfig.cfg worked. I started BFA back up and it was automatically set to 1440p like it was supposed to. Thanks. :)
modding doesn't work. i wanted to launch the map (TeK_D2Map01) with doom 2004 but it is useless. CDL.exe only launches the main game, not the map.

A. Try to remove the numbers from the folder name.
B. Have you used the pk4toBFG? BFG Edition (and it's source ports) does not support .pk4 files.

Where are you extracting the files? Do you have the console active when playing? If you have the console active have you try to access the map with the console command map <name of map>
Is there a way to restore the BFG/original audio? I love the SMAA AA support and 144hz quality, but I can't find what is causing the weapon sound quality to tank so horribly. I tried installing the EAX support mod but that just makes the low quality weapon sounds echo.
